:bday: Stevie!

Happy Easter to everyone! We're having a bunch of friends over so it should be fun... now if I could only get DH up and about to help me clean up a little. Hope everyone has a wonderful day :goodvibes

Hope everyone is having a great Easter day. I feel very blessed for all of the gifts in my life. :goodvibes

Claire, your yard is very pretty! Love the photos of the dogs - I have a foxhound about the size of your boxers, but he's not interested in anything that's in the yard except squirrels.

My bear, Dimples, and my roommate's bear Yampa come on our cruises too.
Dimples wonders if Winnie would like her to bring him a new red shirt?

If Dimples finds a red shirt, Winnie would be happy to have it! He also likes honey. ;)

The poor lady that was dropped in the sea when she was being evacuated didn't make it.....she died today. RIP. :littleangel:

How sad. God bless her.

Happy Easter everyone! I was up until the wee hours reading through tip threads and Disney threads and excursion threads. We don't cruise for 4 and 1/2 months, so I need to start pacing myself a little better!

On this trip I'll be traveling with my 2 sons, 4 and 7. I originally had early dining but then I started to think about the time change (the ship time at sailing will be 6 hours ahead of our home time) and switched to late seating. In addition, it seems that Disney does the large table/mixed group seating. I've done that when cruising before I had kids, but with the kids I'm only used to having our own table.

So my question is - is anyone else with younger kids doing the late seating? One of the things I'm looking forward to on a Disney cruise is other kids at dinner. And if we are going to be at a large table it would be great if there were some other kids there so they could maybe entertain each other.

We are late dining as well for those reasons! Ages 5 and 1. :thumbsup2

Happy Easter everyone.

Claire - that's a lovely gazebo and your dogs are gorgeous. They look full of energy :)
I thought the same as Karen...your garden is huge! ;)

Ditto!! Great gazebo and beautiful doggies! :lovestruc

Unfortunately I am on a healthy eating programme all the time nowadays, pre cruise or otherwise. But I hope you all enjoy your chocolate binges!!! I am with you in spirit.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I would love a slice of Simnel Cake too, with the extra layer of marzipan in the middle preferably.

We spent time on a plane today, so it was pretzels and avocados /bananas I threw into my carryon. No chocolate :sad2:

Hi There

Generally dining tables are between 4 and 10 I believe, and Disney does aim to sit similar groups together, families with families, couples with couples,

Most people with children do tend to do the early sitting, on last years WBTA I think there were almost no children on the late dining, certainly non I can remember in the DIS crowd.

As for the time difference you really don't notice it, as it's done an hour at a time over several nights it just kind of creeps up on you.

I hope everyone had a great Easter.

Mine has been quiet and chocolate free :scared1:

Quiet and chocolate free too for me and DH. DS and DD have chocolate, but I'm asking them to keep it away from me. Determined to loose a few more pounds before the cruise :) I think I will have to visit the gym each day though while on board to make sure I don't regain it over the 14 days :scared1:

As Steamboat Will said Disney does try to sit similar groups together, though on our first Disney cruise a brother and sister in their early twenties were sat with us (family of 4, DD and DS were teenagers), so not exactly 2 similar groups paired up. Luckily we all got on fine, and having an opportunity to chat with our table mates each evening added to the cruise experience :). We've always had late dining on our previous Disney cruises and recall seeing tweens and teens in the dining room, but the majority of families with young children seemed to opt for the first seating.

Thank you everyone for the kind birthday wishes. I had a lovely day looking forward to chilling out on Easter Monday :)

Hope you've all had a lovely Easter break :cool1:

I should have thought to do this before I changed my cruise, but better late than never...maybe? Sorry, just didn't think, duh!

So, some of you know I was booked on this cruise and fell pregnant, so we've changed to Hawaii in April 2012. So I released my room for the TA, It was room 7506 in case any one wants to ring DCL and try to get it. :goodvibes

Here's the photo of the Gazebo we put together earlier.....it looks so lovely that i'm rather annoyed we left it sitting in a box for so long. :lmao:

And whilst i'm in Photobucket here are a couple of photos of my doggies playing on their favourite toy, an old rope tied to a tree with a hoop tied on the bottom.

Love the gazebo! And your dogs are great!! They look so fun!

the gazebo looks lovely and you've got gorgeous dogs - however i've gotta admit that the first thing that went through my head when i saw that photo was "claire's got a HUGE garden!".
cerby would love a garden that big :)

I was thinking that same thing! And how green your lawn is Claire!

I am being very good - DD2 is sitting next to me eating her egg and I am not having any!

Yes, DD did that yesterday too. But I've put a request in with my mom to buy and save some Cadbury Mini Eggs for me for September!

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday dear Stevie
Happy Birthday to you!

Just imagin it sung by three voices :dance3::bday:

I ate way too much food yesterday ..... and today we are having BBQ, which won't be much better. I have eaten so much junk that I am ready to start being healthy tomorrow. Bring it on .......

We're supposed to be having a BBQ today too .... our weather doesn't look very good at the moment though.

DD1 has had to go into work looks like everything is against us having BBQ!

we had a barbeque yesterday so managed to get the sun while it lasted. its definately not as nice today, still sunny here but quite breezy. i'm off to work in about half hour though so wont see any of the rest of the day.

Why is that Jools? You should have had some.:)

You could have popped some chocolate in the bag too. Flights need chocolate!;)

I am in awe of you for sticking to a diet over Easter or other special time with special naughty food around. I could never do it until last year and that was only because I HAD to!

I should have thought to do this before I changed my cruise, but better late than never...maybe? Sorry, just didn't think, duh!

Hi Hayley, I thought you were doing what I have a habit of doing and posting on the wrong thread!!!:lmao:

I ate way too much food yesterday ..... and today we are having BBQ, which won't be much better. I have eaten so much junk that I am ready to start being healthy tomorrow. Bring it on .......

 Sometimes feeling so bad after over eating does help that initial problem of getting into that diet. Keep remembering this feeling(plus that inch you need to get into your new dress;)). I hope you manage to get going Sarah as I know how dispiriting it is to keep messing it up and feeling bad.

Perhaps you weight loss peeps should have a sort of official group on here so you can chivvy each other on, praise, commiserate etc, sort of more organised than at the moment. I know another cruise I was on some thread members started a separate thread, but if you did it on here we could all encourage you too. I have been there, all my life till I was ill, so I do really understand.

Just a heads up for anyone that's in a CAT 11B and wants to try a sideways cabin, 6507 was showing available just now.
