:lmao::lmao:

We were originally on deck 6, but moved to deck 5 for the chance at a sideways. If one did become available I would jump to it. At the minute, it's just one more set of stairs to help work off some of the calories :rotfl:

That's what we did too, if I see another one come up I will PM you. :thumbsup2

I booked a Cabana last week for our August Dream cruise, as it seemed they were flying off the shelf and everyone was snapping them up.

Has anyone used them before and do you think they are worth it? There will be 8 of us sharing it, and we are splitting the cost, so it's $250 for each couple.

I thought by off-setting the price of the snorkel hire, bikes etc for the kids it wasn't too bad :confused3

I haven't but look forward to seeing your pics. :goodvibes

I think it's a good thing for a large family/friends to share but I wouldn't pay full price to rent one for just the two of us.

Well I have decided I will not buy any new clothes until August...so that I have some motivation to lose some pounds.

That is a good idea, apart from over here all the summer clothing has gone or at least there isn't much left. The big summer sales are in June/July. Last year I lost a lot of weight and thought it safe to buy lots of new clothes.( Well I had to:)) I continued to lose weight until the WBTA in September and so many of the new clothes i bought were far too big!:sad2: Now, yes that was lovely, but I have a quite a few more expensive items I have never worn as well as the cheap stuff, and also some cute Disney t shirts that I can't wear now at all, and I still love. I certainly didn't expect to continue to lose, but I had to buy because it was summer sale time. As it was I had to rush around getting what I could in the end.

However, at least I have been able to have a little spend this year and can't wait for the sales!!!

ATTENTION all Mixology & Mojito tasting participants. :)

I am in correspondence with DCL regarding the tastings and have been asked for dates for the possible tastings.

Would everyone who has expressed interest please submit which dates are suitable.
I was thinking to do the meets on a sea day? If anyone has any other suggestions please post.
15th, 16th, 17th, 18th or 19th September?

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Any sea days are good for me as we have nothing else booked or planned yet. :thumbsup2

I'm surprised they are organising it already, I thought it would have to be done nearer the cruise.....please let me know how it goes and i'll contact them about the Champagne Girls & Palo High Tea. :thumbsup2

Any of these would work for us as we have nothing else reserved yet :) I'll send you a PM. How about having one of the tastings towards the beginning of the 5 sea days and another towards the end?

This sounds like a fun event. I think any of the at-sea days would work as well. Does DCL charge additional for this?

Hi Michelle

We have the pyjama breakfast, which I think you are booked on too, on the morning of 18th, I wouldn't be bothered with 2 events on the one day, as long as there's a big enough gap between the two :)

Otherwise, all other dates are fine by us :)

I didn't even think of summer sales:rotfl:

Yes - I have been looking at another thread and they are being charged $20 each for the mixology class.

Thanks for the replies so far...

I will put all of the 4 dates, except the 18th and see what happens :)

$20 sounds a good price. :thumbsup2 Our local liquor board runs similar classes and they usually charge more than that per person.

I can't remember if we have already signed up for these tastings...forgetful me! I'll send a PM to you to double-check that we are on the lists.

Thanks for arranging this! :thumbsup2

Barcelona Question:

Have any of you used the hop on hop off buses to tour Barcelona?

If so, what did you think? Are they the best way to tour BCN? Any info would be appreciated. :flower3:

The hop on/hop off buses worked great for us the one day we used it. We would get off wherever we wanted to tour something. It wasn't too long of a wait for the next bus. We were able to get a general layout of Barcelona and then get off to see La Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, Gaudi bldgs, etc. You'll have no problems, or at least we didn't. They give you earplugs so you can plug into the bus and listen to a audio tour as you drive along but the sound quality was "iffy" at best!

Hope this helps! :goodvibes

Hi Claire

We have never used the hop on hop off buses, but my friend whom we met on last year's Dover Repo cruise swore by it. She has done all the previous TA cruises over the years and also does B2Bs as well every time and she highly recommended it. She said it was great.

Stevie and I used the metro a lot and bought the T10 ticket. If you buy one, it's a ticket with 10 journeys on it and we used it between us. One person scans and goes through the turnstyle and then you pass it to the next person who does the same, perfectly legal and saves you money if you don't need more than 10 tickets between you :thumbsup2

I've got my BCN books and maps out too, looking at must sees for you :)

Thanks for this, Deb. :thumbsup2. We arrive early on the Thursday morning and the HOHO bus seems ideal to see the main sights that day as we want to go to Montserrat on the Friday. I just hope I don't drift off to sleep on the bus with the jet lag :lmao:
