Thanks Peggy! I appreciate it! :worship: Roger will just have to get his own! lol :rotfl2:

I've got quite a collection of them, mainly for use in New Orleans. :thumbsup2 Roger has used a few before... :rotfl::rotfl:

Ehm, fingers crossed he wont forget his pink tutu. Would just look silly without one, IMHO. :upsidedowQUOTE]

:dance3: Okay, we may need to hide this comment from him, because I wouldn't put it past him to do that. :scared1: :lmao::lmao:

Oh, come on Peggy! Where is your sense of adventure? He was Rick James (?) last cruise...why not Tinker Bell this cruise?:tinker::tinker::tinker: :lmao::lmao::lmao:

No hiding, that always only makes things worse.

Tink? Sure, she's cute as a pie and all, but she's not even close to Miss Piggy. Now talk about a Gorgious Disney Star that knows how to dress, love and have no attitude at all. :upsidedow

As long as he's not that creepy Peter Pan! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

If Roger is thinking in that direction, he'll have to sit at another table! :rotfl2: Once in a lifetime having "creepy Peter Pan" jump in a seat beside me is all I can handle! Still under therapy trying to get over that one! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Well, c'mon. Tell the story. popcorn::

Anyone up for some snorkeling in St Maarten?

We just sent in a reservation with Capt Alan's Snorkeling Tours. We went with him last year and had the BEST time! It turned out we had the boat to ourselves so it was like a private charter. He was a fantastic tour guide and patiently showed us how to snorkel. We had a mud bath and saw some fantastic scenery, and the kids loved it.

Anyone fancy joining us?

Oh not me, sorry, I am petrified of that type of thing :scared1: I love swimming in the sea, but face under water just doesn't happen :lmao: DH tried to get help me get over my fear on Castaway Cay a few years ago, he gave up when I got mildly hysterical, he was so embarrassed :rotfl::rotfl:

All,

Due to work, investigations have almost doubled in the last month, I have not had much time to stay connected. I APPRECIATE everyone's help on the questions asked. Your experience is greatly appreciated.

I have a few Flounders Nursery Question:

Does anyone know the limit to pre-book hours for a TA cruise?

Has anyone had a negative experience they can share?

We will have a ten month old, very few babysitters so far, and parents that are a little "gun-shy" on leaving our son in the nursery. Any help would be greatly appreciated and my apologies if we busted in on another conversation. Please excuse the interruption.

a steak bake is kinda like a puff pastry slice with minced beef in gravy in it. that'd be funny if they did t-shirts like that, but i was more going for the "my friend went on holiday and all i got was this lousy t-shirt" vibe!

Kinda like this??

We have those in Australia too only they're oval and we call them Meat Pies. So does Morrisons sell pasties and sausage rolls too? I live in the US now and would love something like that. I'd also love to get some flakes and Maltesers etc.

You'll love North Carolina. If you can take a side trip up into the mountains of western NC, it's worth it.

Glad to hear you found good rates on the flights. We had really good luck with 1800flyeurope.com if you ever need to go one-way again (or round trip). I assume you could do either direction. It's a US company for flights to Europe, but I'm sure they sell the other way around. We got flights from Kansas City to Barcelona for $490 adult and $380 kids. 5 of us for $2200 is a steal. Even was able to allow an 8 hour layover in London to make a quick run down to the city to see a few sights.

I wish I had known that before booking flights, I would have loved a layover in London, not to mention the price. I will file that info away for the next TA.

Colin loved your report of Gibraltar, too funny  What was scary about the cable cars?

Hi

In order of scariness

1. Angry monkeys at the top
2. Packed tighter than main street after the fireworks
3. The price
4. They swing about....... A lot
5. They are quite old
6. It's a long way up...... And down:scared1:
7. There are angry monkeys at the top

Col:)

 Seriously though .. how many people did they try to squeeze in. I have a problem with claustraphobia, but so long as I wasn't in the middle I could be ok.

Well, c'mon. Tell the story. popcorn::

To make a long story short.....one morning, my DH vacated his seat for some reason and the next thing I knew the "little" green giant...er...I mean green "pixie" literally hopped in my DH's chair. He was squatting (such a word????)on the chair with his feet on the seat. It was Peter Pan and I truly believe he was on a sugar high! His conversation was like bouncing off the wall and his voice was kind of high and squeaky! I LOVE the Disney characters but I admit I was a little freaked out! We got a good laugh afterwards, but I will never look at Peter Pan the same again!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

LOL! Right there with ya - I definitely want to be able to see Africa. :thumbsup2 And we LOVE Busch Gardens -- both Tampa and Williamsburg. Did them both almost two years ago - awesome coasters. (And the waterpark in Williamsburg is awesome as well - very shaded.)

I used to go to Busch Gardens Williamsburg ("The Olde Country") as a kid - I grew up in Virginia Beach so it wasn't a far drive in the summertime. Now I live in Sarasota FL and I could drive to the other Busch Gardens. Never set out to live w/in quick driving distance to Busch Gardens, but it just turned out that way ;)

After months of to-ing and fro-ing about whether we can actually afford this cruise, we're ready to book airfare! Just waiting to get confirmation from people we're staying with after the cruise, then hopefully we'll have airfare by the end of tonight!
Has anyone used either cheapoair or travelpapa before? The latter one has been recommended by someone on here, they're both coming up at least £1000 cheaper for the one way flight home than booking direct with the airline. As usual there's some horrific reviews on the net but there always are for moat companies, would much rather have first hand recommendations from people on here if poss.
Anyone used them before?

We booked our flights on Cheapoair too. Didn't have any problem, but its our first time using them.

We haven't seen Tangled yet either. Rapunzel is one of my favourite children's stories. Can't wait to see it and POTC 4 on the Magic in June :cool1: I noticed that they do Tangled on DVD triple play, so I can get the digital copy for my iphone :thumbsup2

Its really good! You will enjoy it :goodvibes

...and we didn't do door or FE competitions on the EBTA - or did we? I think there may have been a form - I know I didn't take the time to vote. We did have some awards for who came the farthest - who was the newest married, ...

and we had our Secret Mickey reveal on the last Sea Day in Lumiere's, every invited whether doing SM or not. Learned a lesson there - don't try going through shoreside DCL to arrange for a group space at lunch - just notify the dining room manager once onboard so they can save the tables.

We did do door competitions. I don't remember everything that was done, but I do remember that one thing. There were some very cool doors. I am definitely decorating our door this time around.

When does Pirates 4 come out? We usually download all our movies, but it's just not the same as in the theatre, so I know any movies we've already seen we'll want to see again on the Magic.

I don't know when Pirates comes out....sometime in the summer though. They will probably still be showing Tangled onboard. Last year they were still showing Princess & the Frog even though it was on dvd at that time.

Hello -

Well, I put a down payment on this cruise, but until I lock in a really good airfare I must admit I cannot commit 100%. I just joined up on DisBoards - I've been on Cruise Critic before but this thread is AMAZING and HUGE!! Of course, I've only been able to read through a little of it so far, but what I have read is really getting me excited!! I was worried about my kids getting bored on a 14 night, but after reading some things on the boards I think this cruise is going to be a blast!

I will be traveling with my DS 7, my other DS 4, and my DM 78. This will be our first Disney cruise!! I wanted to go before my kids got too much older - I really think they are going to LOVE it! The kids clubs sound great, but I can't tell what the difference is between the Oceaneers Club and Lab. Does anyone know? I am excited that they will be able to play together and won't be separated because of their ages.

I'm considering staying at the Holiday Inn Express in BCN, mainly because they have rooms that hold 4 and I can use my points for free nights. It doesn't look like anyone else is staying there though, which makes me a little nervous that maybe it is a dive?? Anyone heard anything good or bad?

Well said, Debra. Both Roger & I are so glad :worship: he didn't hop into a chair by us - you handled it very well. :thumbsup2 He was acting super-ADHD and quirky ...very strange. It was a moment to remember...we're still laughing about it. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

:welcome: Hope you find a good airfare so that you're able to join us! I don't have experience with the clubs for younger kids ; our kids were teens when we did our previous Disney cruises. I'm sure someone though will be able to help answer your question. :thumbsup2

Did you check out Tripadvisor for hotel reviews? Here's the link for the review on Holiday Inn Express: http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Hotel_Rev...-Holiday_Inn_Express-Barcelona_Catalonia.html

oh Tangled is SO SO SO good, think it's my favourite Disney film since Beauty and the Beast, hope it's being shown in 3D on the ship I'd love to see it again on the big screen,
SW

Totally love Tangled:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2. I think I have watched it, or at least have had it on in the background while I work around the house a dozen times. Singing and quoting lines..........those big beautiful eyes too::):)

Oh my! I thought maybe it was a passenger in costume who had a few too many. Not sure whether the reality is better or worse. :rotfl:

:welcome: Hope you can join us! We are Pat and Dennis, and this will be our 3rd cruise (all DCL) but our first longer than 4 nights.

I haven't booked our airfare yet, but now that I know what my tax refund is, I'll probably book at the end of the month. Try cheapoair.com or 1800flyeurope.com. I've found some decent rates there.

As for the hotel, I can't tell you anything about it, but I know the Barcelona Universal has rooms for 4 people. Mandy (aka MandyGirl) is staying there w/ her DH and 2 DD's. I know she looked around quite a bit before she found this. We're also staying there. It's about a 10 minute walk to La Rambla and there is a Metro station literally outside the door of the hotel.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Love it!

Morrisions do sell pasties, sausage rolls, flakes & maltesers here in the UK so I am sure you will get them in Gib. :thumbsup2

I love Busch Gardens in Tampa, we have been several times, we drive over from Orlando for the day. :)
