I have seen some AMAZing doors - and FE's . The best FE I ever saw was Valbob's on the WBPC this spring - with gold cord mariners knots and beautiful fabric. The best door I've ever seen was a 3 dimensional quilted seascape with mermaids and other creatures among the waves - on the 2008 5 night double dip (that wasn't).

ValBob were on our WBTA cruise and had that same amazing FE with all the knots on it .. I am sure that they came first in the competition as it really was stunning.

It was pretty rough but we were thankfully lucky to be spared. Five miles up the road, a tornedo touched down. Amazing the number of huge trees just uprooted just like pulling a carrot out of the ground! Also a lot trees snapped in two, tin roofs on buildings just peeled back, sheds and barns just wiped out, etc. My son is a police officer in Wilson, NC and they were really hard hit. A bunch of officers had to go over last night and help a fellow officer whose house was severely hit board up some of his windows, throw a tarp over an area of his roof that was missing, and cut away broken trees. Several businesses just destroyed, cars overturned, mobile homes just tossed round, etc. They had on the news an aerial view and you could just see where the tornedo would touch down, skip over an area, and touch down again.
So far about 24 deaths have been reported and 130 missing. The news said there were 8 tornedoes in that short period of time. We are just so thankful that we weren't hit but so sad for the ones that were. So many people (especially the ones in mobile homes) didn't have insurance and they were wiped out. Can't even imagine how devastating that must be!

That is so very scary, and as you said, devastating. We had a tornado warning i our area when we were in Orlando last year. Boy I was so scared with not having experienced one before. One touched down just a few miles down the road! The TV kept saying to get to a safe place NOW!!!

WE are deliberately avoiding seeing Tangled so we can see it in board the Magic. We won't be able to avoid Pirates 4 though, as we will be there on the first day to see that ... can't wait pirate:pirate: I'm sure we will see it on the ship a few more times though.

When does Pirates 4 come out? We usually download all our movies, but it's just not the same as in the theatre, so I know any movies we've already seen we'll want to see again on the Magic.

I so happy I just started 14 days of holiday. We just staying at home because my husband has to work most of the time. But we are celebrating my sons 5th birthday on April 28. I cant believe that he is already 5!
I love to party play:cheer2:. We will be having a Mickey Mouse and a Phinneas and Ferb party. So that will be a lot of fun. I'm just a little sad that I can't find Mickey shaped pasta in Europe.

Christina

Hope you enjoy your holiday at home. I'm surprised you can't get the Mickey Mouse pasta, we can even get it here in Ukraine.

My husband has better google skills that me, so he just found some in Germany, and they are willing to ship to Denmark:cool1:

That's good!

Wow! Then I will see you in the theater a lot ;) That is something we really liked on the TA cruise & we saw quite a few movies. They run them throughout the day as late as midnight and even some in 3D. Anyhow, it was one of the things about the Magic that we really enjoyed.

We will probably wait to see Pirates 4 until we get on the ship. Maybe we'll also see African Cats, Mars Needs Moms (though I heard its not too great) and one I'm really excited about - the new Winnie the Pooh that is coming out in summer (thought I don't think I can wait for Sept to see that one.)

We'll probably spend a bit of time in the theatre as well. Do you think all those movies will still be playing by September? If so that would be really awesome!

We're experiencing typical Spring Canadian weather at the moment...it was 21 Celsius the other day, today we are having sleet/snow showers....

Definitely don't miss that! We had spring weather like that last month and it's already quite nice here now!

Hi Mark (Paragd911), just read your NYE trip report. Loved the photo of Shadow wearing his Mickey ears shaking paws with Pluto :) JJ looks as if he (?) loves the camera too! :thumbsup2 Looking forward to meeting you all on the WBTA.

Thank you... I dont know if he will be ready for WBTA..

JJ is beautiful! Is he a labradoodle? Has Shadow retired now?

I noticed your comment in your TR about "service dogs" that aren't really. We have 5 pet dogs and we always follow the rules regarding our dogs - no sneaking into hotels (or anywhere else), no off-leash when walking, pick up after them. So it really annoys the heck out of us when others don't follow the rules or cheat the system. We would love to take our two with anxiety issues with us on our cruises, but we're not going to try to cheat the system to do it. That's just so wrong. Granted, there are service dogs whose purpose is not always obvious, but I'm not convinced about all the dogs I've seen.

By the way, Dennis and I will volunteer to give JJ extra cuddles and petting when he needs it! :goodvibes

After months of to-ing and fro-ing about whether we can actually afford this cruise, we're ready to book airfare! Just waiting to get confirmation from people we're staying with after the cruise, then hopefully we'll have airfare by the end of tonight!
Has anyone used either cheapoair or travelpapa before? The latter one has been recommended by someone on here, they're both coming up at least £1000 cheaper for the one way flight home than booking direct with the airline. As usual there's some horrific reviews on the net but there always are for moat companies, would much rather have first hand recommendations from people on here if poss.
Anyone used them before?

Hey, Karen:
I already booked airfare, but keep checking and found TripAdvisor has a pretty good search engine and rates. We could have saved a couple hundred dollars, but were anxious to book, so it's a done deal. I never used them for airfare, just hotel and destination reviews.
Connie

Ok , I'll bite what is a steak bake, and do they really have t-shirts that say that :lmao:

Linda we were also on the Double dip in 08, and sat with a family from NY at dinner, was that you? They had two sons, who were the most polite boys I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Colin loved your report of Gibraltar, too funny  What was scary about the cable cars?

Sarah congrats on booking your fare at a great price :goodvibes

Not us - we were with the "deb wills" group and seated with a bunch of friends. We only have one son, and he's 44 too old to travel with us, lol.

What's scary about cable cars? they're CABLE cars!!!!!:scared1:

Y'all may find this good for a chuckle. :thumbsup2
Last night I was looking at my tiaras princess: and playing with them to decide which one to take to New Orleans in a couple of weeks for an event we are attending. Then, my Hubby asks me if I am going to bring a spare tiara and one of my pink boas for him to wear on the cruise with the Champagne Girls. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

So glad you're okay! Eight tornadoes - that is scary!! :scared1::scared1: And that's so sad about all those people. I know when the economy goes south, people have to give up things like insurance, then something like this happens.

Too funny!

Well, I finally finished my taxes and e-filed today. Now I have to wait to see if it's all okay or if I'll be getting a letter from the IRS! :scared::crazy2:

I'm still looking around. Son's girlfriend is suppose to bring over her tiara so I can look at it. Haven't gotten serious about boa/tiara princess:.....guess I need to get my mind right about this important occasion and get busy! :rotfl2:

Deb, I've got your boa covered, don't worry about that. :thumbsup2 And if you don't need it, I'm sure my Hubby will use it. :lmao::lmao:

Ehm, fingers crossed he wont forget his pink tutu. Would just look silly without one, IMHO. :upsidedow

Some things are the same where ever you life, I guess. I've sent in mine before the supposed april 1st (no not a fool in this case) date, so should be getting mine back before july 1st. Fingers crossed they aren't wanting to see all of the bills for my deductions and approve it right off the bat. Read; I'll be OK-ed either way, but having a deeper check can easily lead to not getting my €€€ back until way after the cruise whereas with a quick OK the refund is perfectly in time to pay for the cruise, OOP-cruise-costs, WDW-costs and shopping sprees.

Smart move by the way for asking folks about their fav. color! I've been getting quite a few PM's about that. :thumbsup2 Haven't had the time to reply everyone yet, but so far each and all PM's have just made me go  "I can work with that!".

Just made my mum happy earlier today. I do some volunteerwork for our local community center/social cultural center. Upcoming weekend there will be 2 shows on stage by a big band with an amazing guy that does it all. Singing, comedy, drama, stand up, you name it. Local guy that made it big. Anywho, it'll be beyond sold out and as I'm the one answering the phone and mails, I'm being swamped in processing those. As a thank you I've been offered 2 free tickets. So not needed, I could probably sneak myself in for free under the sticker of being a boardmember but than  . Mom likes the dudes style, our physical therapist/friend is in the big band, she might just like a night/afternoon out. Called her, fished around asking when she'ld be getting our of her plastercast -she's in a cast from shoulders to bumm and one leg until knee as a way too make sure she indeed needs another backsurgery-. She can toss that one on saterday afternoon, perfect timing! So made her one happy camper. Good for her!
