My DH is the opposite, he can't/won't sleep on the plane. He is petrified of flying! But he does it, bless.
He'll only sleep in the car when we drive home as he's that tired!

Crush's Coaster is absolutely amazing, I am sure it would fit in well in Epcot. We didn't know what to expect when we went on, thought it was a kids ride, and got the shock of our lives and went straight back on again as it was so fantastic.... one of my favourite Disney rides :yay:

I absolutely love Crush's Coaster too ... has to be my favourite ride in Dsineyland Paris. It is just so unexpected :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I don't like DLP, but I would go for a Disney fix.

I don't like DLP either and wouldn't go back. Sorry to all you DLP lovers. I just really don't like it.

Thats a shame .. I absolutely love Disneyland Paris and I actually prefer it over WDW for the closeness of everything, the architecture, a lot of the rides are better. The only thing it falls down on is the food and the occasional rude person.

You really don't need to speak French at all at DLP. I always TRY and speak some French when in France but they ALWAYS reply to me in English :rotfl2:

Thats true .. whenever I engege them with a bit of schoolgirl french they reply in English, so I just give up :sad2:

Just wanted to chime in and say that we too visited Disneyland Paris (in 2009) and did not have any problems communicating in the parks or in Paris itself even though we do not speak French.

I just made it a point before our trip to learn the basics (hello, please, thank you, may I have.., goodbye - and my favorite "je suis desole - je ne parle pas Francais...parlez vous anglais?" - (I'm sorry, I don't speak French - do you speak English?)

People seemed to appreciate the attempt and quickly started talking to me in English - probably because they felt bad about much I butchered their language!

The phrase I always make sure I am familiar with in every language is "Where are the toilets? "

French: Ou est les toilettes.
Spanish: Donde están los servicios

Always one to remember :rolleyes1

Oooooh yes some women too !!!! my wife "Tod and Copper" could sleep on nearly ever flight we have been on, many times before the doors even closed, she is that bad the crew thought they had a engine problem on take off, however it was only Mary snoring. It not pretty sleeping with your mouth open, my daughter and I have been known to entertain ourselves with a little game of who can throw the first item in the "hole"

God help you on deck 5 sideways cabins, white noise monitors at the ready:rotfl:

On our last WBTA we flew back via London and when we boarded the last plane on the London - Manchester leg both Tony and I were asleep before the plane took off and we didn't realise we had landed until the man sitting in the seat by the window disturbed us when he wanted to get off !!

For those of you who need suggestions on what to do in Barcelona, I have quite a few ideas.

01. We went to a Flamingo dinner show with some fellow DISers which was wonderful.

02. We spent about three hours in the Picasso Museum which was very interesting.

03. John and I loved the Sagrada Familia.

04. We bought the Barcelona Tour card for riding on the transportation in the city:
Highlights:
Free full-color Barcelona guidebook with city and metro maps
Free admission to over 16 top Barcelona attractions
Choose from 2, 3, 4 and 5 consecutive day passes
See Gaudi's breathtaking architecture in Barcelona
Discounted entry to the Casa Gaudi Museum and Picasso Museum
Free unlimited travel on Barcelona public transport including metro, city buses and train service from the city center to Barcelona Airport
Discounts at many shops, restaurants and attractions

05. John really enjoyed the Maritime Museum.

06. I enjoyed photographing the Barcelona Cathedral.

07. Several of our friends did a Segway
tour of Barcelona

08. Park Guell was a fascinating place to photograph and visit.

09. If the weather is good in the evening, you must see the Fountains of Mountjuic.

10. This is one of the tour companies that John and I used when we arrived in Barcelona for a semi private tour with some other DISers. Barcelona City Tour

I have many more links to information both inside and outside of Barcelona about places to visit, tours, food, restaurants, transportation etc. if anyone wants more info, please PM me.

:lmao: I've been known to snore a bit, too, but Dennis wins the prize! We're aft on Deck 5, so that should even out any quaking of the deck or window rattling! :rotfl2:

You guys are so lucky getting to go to Disneyland Paris. I would love to go. I wish we could fly in on Friday. I hate, hate, hate flying in the day of a cruise. You never know what could happen. I am lucky I got my DH to take the two weeks off for the cruise. His office might fall down if he is not there. ha ha ha.:rotfl2: Well maybe someday.

Segway Tour ?? A Segway tour is why I could not go on last years WBTA. I fell off one and broke my ankle in San Francisco.

I am sorry to hear that you hurt yourself. We have taken several Segway tours without incident!!

Just been catching up with todays posts.....you guys are too fast!

I had some sad news this morning, my 64 year old Uncle died during the night. :sad1: So sad as he was found by his youngest daughter (15yo).
No one knows what happened, he hasn't been ill, he was fine yesterday. It is such a shock and so sudden. I really feel for my four cousins as their mother died several years ago of Breast Cancer and now their dad has been taken too.

If you ever find the train; don't let the doggies stop you. Depending on their size a small or larger kiddiescreen could keep your "kiddies" at a safe distance. It is difficult though, to find a good one, I agree. I've seen some lovely ones on Ebay, but somehow that doesn't feel right enough. I want myself a WDW or at least disneyshop original.

I've got two crazy Boxers....believe me they would find a way to get to the train.

I know what you mean, I would like a proper WDW one. :thumbsup2

Pink; thanks for the help on the ADR's, hun! Turns out I needed to log out on the WDW-site, retrieve on the DVC-site, relog in on WDW and finally it recognized the ressie and let me make ADR's. :worship:

:cool1: So glad that worked for you too, did you get all the ADR's you wanted?

I don't like DLP, but I would go for a Disney fix.

I don't like DLP either and wouldn't go back. Sorry to all you DLP lovers. I just really don't like it.

Have been to WDW and DL and loved them both, but DLP just didn't do it for me.

I'm the same, although I enjoyed DLP (been twice) it just doesn't give me the same Disney Magic feeling that I get in WDW.

I think someone may be getting a slap when Mary reads that. ;)

My DH could have written that about me too. Hopefully Mary & I will drown out the whole of Deck 5. :rotfl2:

I am very sorry for your loss. Whenever a loss is sudden without any warning it makes it all the more tragic. Please accept our deepest condolences on your loss.

Reminds me of an Everybody Loves Raymond episode when Ray and Robert throw popcorn into their dad's open mouth whilst he slept in a chair. You could try Maltesers!!

That is very sad, and awful for his daughter to find him. How tragic that their mother has also died.:sad2:

So very sorry for your loss. It is hardest on the loved ones, but easiest on the person when it happens so suddenly.

Lucky you, I guess I just don't have good enough balance.

I think San Francisco with all of it hills would not be a place that I would try as well. Barcelona has some cobbled streets so one must be careful there as well. We took a class at WDW which helped us a lot, I think.

It's so sad, she was about 7 when her mum died. :sad2: The eldest son is due to get married in the summer too. :guilty:
