I've offered my points to family and only ask them to cover my MFs for those points. One family member gladly took me up on the offer. Another still felt it was too much since I got those points "for free" every year.So I know the going rate for points depends on when they need to be used. Usually that's around $15 correct?
If the person is family do you usually charge a little less? I'm trying to figure out what I should charge.
Thanks

If they asked me without my offering to them, I’d charge a couple bucks lower than going rate. If I offered, I’d ask for MFs plus my amortized upfront costs.
I charged my brother $10pp and he was resentful of that amount. They were BWV points and $6.30 for maintenance fees. I dunno. It was so weird. He would definitely have charged me, likely for more than I charged him.... in the past he has charged me to live in an apartment that my parents co-owned with him. and they paid for it all. He begged me to stay in the apartment to cover his maintenance fee, then had it under construction (no kitchen no bathroom for months-- and I had left a very nice 36th floor studio overlooking the hudson river to "help him out"). I would never do business with my own brother ever, ever again. Need I say more?
