You will love this cruise! I highly recommend staying on the boat when you reach Paris. I don't want to spoil what might be a surprise, but it was spectacular! We cruised at the end of June. We followed the river cruise with the Paris Escape, also by Disney. I recommend that as well. I think it is a much better way to have the opportunity to spend time in Paris, compared with the short time you might gain by taking the bus. Some of the elements of the Paris Escape would be selected by anyone--the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower (dinner on the lower level), but the guided trip through St. Germain des Pres was extremely interesting, and it was not something that we could have done as well on our own. Two of the cruise guides became our Disney guides in Paris. We stayed on our own for an additional five nights, which gave us an opportunity to see sights that we had missed. That included the Rodin museum, the Monet exhibit in the Orangerie, and the Musee D'Orsay. The Disney trip on the Seine does not go to Versailles, so we went there on our own while we were in Paris following the Paris escape.
The Disney trip along the Seine has a great number of excursions, all included, and many activities that children and teenagers will enjoy. My daughter went kayaking, though I did not. Neither of us tried the rope, climbing, and zip-lining course in the woods, but from the trip pictures, that also looks like a lot of fun. Some of the time, we had two choices of an excursion and wished that we could go on both. It was also fun to have a mixed-age group on the trip.
Our guides were excellent! Michaela, Heloise, Laura, and Clement.
Overall, I cannot recommend this trip highly enough! Incredibly memorable!
