seen on TV does it work

My favorite is the OvGlove, only have one but thinking of buying another.
Last year my husband desperately wanted the Nu Wave oven so I bought for him for Christmas. He loves it and it really speeds up cooking time. The worst thing was the smooth away, the first time I used it I couldn't figure out why my legs were turning white but realized it was because the stuff seemed to be sloughing off a layer of skin!

Has anyone tried the hair straightener with the rotating brush (I forget the name). I saw them at BBB, but they were $99. I'm using a chi now, but may need to replace it within the next few months.

Has any one tried the thing you put on your soda can and it makes it like a bottle with a top so it won't spill?

I bought an off brand at the food store, they were hard to get on diet coke and mountain dew cans and Impossible to get off the can with out denting the can. Our state won't recycle squeeshed cans.

I have used Mighty Putty with success.

I have used Mighty Putty to fix my sunglasses when the ear piece broke, and it worked great. If you look, you can see that section is thicker than the rest, but I colored it with a sharpie and it looks OK.

DH had DD fix a pair of scissors with the putty last week. It holds great, but she didn't spend a lot of time to make it look nice. We've decided, if you squint your eyes real tight and tilt your head, it looks a little like a gargoyle face.

ok now that christmas is over did anyone get something for a gift that that loved besides the chia pet :happytv:

I have the instyler, I bought in from QVC and still debating whether I like it or not. I have thich kind of straight hair and the In styler does make it straight but very full where by flat iron makes it also straight but not as full. Hope that makes sense.

I love my magic bullet!! Use it every day. I will say I'm on my second one. First one lasted about a 1.5 years. But, it doesn't take up much space, and blends up my veddies for my lunch shake... this way I get my servings of veggies in every day.

How does the Magic Blullet work, does it use a plug?:confused3
Thanks

It uses a plug. The magic bullet does not take up a lot of counter space. (Base is the size of a large mug) You fill the tumblers with whatever you want to mix, crush, puree. (My favorite is a banana, milk, 2 splenda, big spoon peanut butter, 1 scoop Garden of Life Vanilla Perfect Meal, 3or4 cubes of ice) YUMMY Full for hours! Screw on the blades, set on base for few seconds. Unscrew the blades and enjoy. It comes with several tumblers so you can make everyone the flavors of their choice. Frozen berries are great for mixing. Very portable for vacation or office.

Also great for scrambled eggs.

I have never nor has anyone that I know been able to chop things like eggs, tomatoes, or nuts the way the do on the infomercial. We get puree.

HAHA I found this quite funny. See this year my family started what I can see as being a tradition. We do "dirty santa" each year and this year it was "As Seen On TV Dirty Santa". So we have tons of things to try. The reason I find your statement funny is because I was the one that ended up with a spongebob chia pet :rotfl:

Other things that we had were
winshield wonder
touch n brush
bumpits
smooth away
belly burner
neckline slimmer
strap perfect
perfect brownie
bendaroos
snuggies
sound amplifier that looks like a bluetooth hands free device
shamwows
colon cleanse (should have seen the look on my aunts face when she opened this)
topsy turvy
slap chop
big city sliders
pedi-pistol (great!)
sure clip nail clippers

I think that is all. We will see how it all works. It was pretty fun and everyone agreed that we will do it again next year and keep each other updated on what works/doesnt.

Okay it's been awhile but we LOVE our RONCO Showtime Rotisserie and yes my hubby makes me say the whole name each time. We make our Thanksgiving turkey in every year.

:hippie:

We use & love our Showtime too. LOVE IT! The best pork roasts I've ever made!

How about the InStyler... my DD has been bugging me for one, but I want to make sure it works before giving them my CC info. From what I understand, they ship you TWO and you have to buy both. I wouldn't mind that if I knew it worked, but I don't know anyone who has one.

Mister Steamy

Saw this one tonight for the first time. The name made me laugh & it looks like a dog chew toy. :rotfl2:
Nice concept if it works, but not paying $20 for it.

My puppy actually uses one of my old dryer ball for fetch and chew toy. It's one of his favorite toys.

A wet wash cloth and a dryer sheet will do the same thing! and they don't cost 19.99!

YEP! That's what I do. A few shots of febreeze on the washcloth also works pretty well to freshen things up.

We have the following

Sham-wow....or as I like to call them Sham-crap! I don't like them at all.

Slap-chop...blades wear out too soon, like after two onions they were bending.

Bedaroos...kids love them...I just hate finding them everywhere!

Touch & Brush...LOVE IT! The mess in my bathroom has gone way down and my little ones have no rpoblem putting tooth paste on the tooth brush anymore! LOVE IT!

Ped-egg...don't have but my mother does and she loves it.

Smooth-away...bought for my DD10 because she was afraid of a razor but her legs burned.

Snuggies...all three kids have them and LOVE them...they really like the socks that came with them too!

Grip n Flip...it is good for grilled cheese sandwiches.

6 in 1 utensil...crap.

Scoop & Strian...I have it and use it sometimes for soup, but not all of the time but it does work.

Ove Glove....worked real well until DH burned it up in the wood stove!:lmao:

Debbie Meyer Green Bags....I think they work...seems like they do when I remember to use them.

Aqua Globes....my mom has them and does not like them.

I think that is all we have...but that is enough!!!!:thumbsup2

Does anyone know the name of the magnets that go on the corner of fitted sheets to make them easier to fold and also label the top and bottom? I saw them advertised the other day and I can't seem to find them online.

I've been stuck at home on medical leave.. (evidently that is dangerous because you order things from the TV) hahaha

Well I ordered a "Big Boss Grill". I saw the 1/2hr infomercial on food network and decided I need this! haha. I just had bariatric surgery so I'm looking at preparing smaller (much smaller!) portions and this lil guy seems to be perfect. Also the plates pop out and are dishwasher safe. So i can retire my sandwhich maker, grill, george foreman etc with one device. or so I hope. hahaha. I havn't got it in the mail yet, but I hope it works great!:worship:

how about the tooth paste dispenser. My son gets toothpaste everywhere and have been waiting until the get to a store. Target and Bed Bath and Beyond have them now, but $20 is a little steep, $16 with BBB coupon, if it does not work.

Is that the one that you use your toothbrush to push the button, and the toothpaste comes out? That one grosses me out! Everyone is using their toothbrush on that same button....ewwww.....

Really, it's no worse than the spew that was all over my bathroom sink before!:lmao::lmao:

The bottom of the toothbrush is all that touches the lever, not the bristles. Plus we soak our tooth brushes in peroxide after all the kids sharing strep this fall, so really it seems like a winner to me!
