seen on TV does it work

LOVE IT!
It works great.
Although do not follow the recipe in the book for the rice krispie treats, they call for way too much and turnout terrible.

I got Bottletops for Christmas and I love them. They fit very tightly on soda cans and don't leak at all. I don't like drinking out of cans but the tops make it just like drinking out of a bottle. I also like that I can seal up a can a put it in the fridge for later without worrying about it spilling.

I'm wearing a Snuggie right now. Nuff said!

We've had the Ronco Showtime Rotisserie grill for several years. It's great for cooking meat but kind of a pain to clean and store so we don't pull it out that often.

Does the Bumpit work, she wants that.

I know others opinions differed but I really like Bumpits. I use them for updo's. They would fall out quickly without a hairclip keeping the styling in place though. Just purchase from somewhere you can make returns.

The Snuggie is a joke! Hate it!
Ped Egg...okay but hard to use, seems you have to rub for a very long time.
Smooth Away...left my skin with burns.
I want to try the Heeltastic or whatever too, but I haven't been all that pleased with the TV things. Reminds me of Ronco (?) what I was a kid, mostly junk.

I had the toppsy turvey thing where you plant tomatoes upside down. It sucks I killed three good tomato plants by putting them in this thing.

I bought my dad the toenail clipper thing with the magnifying glass. Does not work. It fell apart but he still uses the magnifying thing.

Huggable hangers said no bumps on the shoulders lied all my sweaters have bumps. But they do work for size 22 shirts and they will not come off the hanger, so I deal with the bumps.

I love my Ped Egg. I got my daughter those butterfly looking combs with the sequins (forget what they are called). Her hair is very fine and these actually stay in and look really cute. Glad to hear about the Brownie Pan, was thinking of getting one, now I know I will!

I have used Mighty Putty to fix my sunglasses when the ear piece broke, and it worked great. If you look, you can see that section is thicker than the rest, but I colored it with a sharpie and it looks OK.

DH had DD fix a pair of scissors with the putty last week. It holds great, but she didn't spend a lot of time to make it look nice. We've decided, if you squint your eyes real tight and tilt your head, it looks a little like a gargoyle face.

:thumbsup2Thank you for this!! I have an expensive pair of Coach shades that the temple broke off behind the ear. I tried sending them in to have repaired but they no longer make them so they sent them back to me. Hated to throw them away! Will give the MP and sharpie a try!

DS's are always breaking their eyeglasses and I used a bread tie to hold them together once until our new insurance kicked in!:lmao:

DH got a slim wallet for Christmas and LOVES it!! Immediately emptied his wallet and hasnt looked back! It is very compact and holds all that he needs to carry.

I have the Macy's version of the Magic Bullet. It is by Bella Cucina and works awesome!!! Came with 12 pieces and it makes awesome shakes, smoothies, salsa, crushed oreos for truffles, etc. Easy to clean and works so great, I purchased 1 for work too! They run about $30 which is $20 cheaper than the bullet was at Costco. I got 15% off too using Macy's coupons.:thumbsup2

I love my combs too but I got mine at Japan in Epcot. They have all different colors and beads (some shaped like little flowers) you should look for them next time your there. They were $10.

I think you may be the only person in the world that does not like Pedi Egg:goodvibes

I LOVE my heeltastic. It does work. I have been using it for about a month but did notice a big difference within a week. I figured for $10.00 I did not have much to loose and it is by far my favorite "beauty" product.

thanks for the Bump It reviews. My DD would love them, but she has fine hair, so nope...

Heres my list...
1. OvGlove - LOVE them! Had a set for over a year, mom got me a new set because mine were dirty. I washed the pold set and they are good as new! New set is still unused...
2. Ped Egg - Love how smooth my feet are!
3. Magiv Bullet - Got this on a buy a set, get a set free and get the juicer and blender for each set for free. It was about $100. I had an issue with one base and called them, they sent a new base. Haven't had any issus since. Second set of cups (with the comfort rings) are out, and I have kept the 2nd base as a backup. We have traveled with it as well. It whips eggs for omelettes or scrambled, I chop with it too...
4. Aqua Doodle - great for my little one! Perfect as it dries quick.
5. Aqua Globes - got 4 of them for my mom who recently entered a nursing home. They are great for this use. thye hold water for about a week, and now I don't have to worry about the nursing staff killing her plants...
6. Green Bags - work great when I remember them...
7. Vonage - have had great service from them. Had been with them for 5 years, and never once had a complaint. Even our house alarm works with them...
8. the Grout thing for getting the right amount of grout on what you are grouting - can't remember the name. Works great, and I was able to keepgrout where it belonged - and not under my nails... :)
9. Space Bags - I was able to pack for our last DCL 7 day trip on the magic in these, and keep the familly of 4 to 2 suitcases - and I didn't have to do laundry until home! Also, I brought extra with me so that I could bag dirty stuff as we went. Kept the cabin tidy as well!!
10. Orange Glo - great when the wood gets dry - kind of a pain in that hou have to go back over it to get all the excess up. The wood floor refinisher stuff is great though!
11. Oxi Clean - I use it on my kids sports stuff and they don't have Georgia Clay stains, so that is something!

Great thread!!

We bought a small sham wow towel (at the checkout at walmart; 2 to a pack) to take to Disney World this past summer (late July/early August when it rained a lot) and used them to wipe off rides, benches, bus seats, etc. when they were wet. It worked well, I kept the towels in my purse in a ziplock bag and we used them several times. They weren't as absorbent as they are advertised to be, but it worked for what we were looking. We don't use them at home, but they are washed and in our travel bag for the next trip though.

What a great suggestion. We are going in July and are expecting thunderstorm each day. I will go get a Sham wow to put in our diaper bag.

HAHA I found this quite funny. See this year my family started what I can see as being a tradition. We do "dirty santa" each year and this year it was "As Seen On TV Dirty Santa". So we have tons of things to try. The reason I find your statement funny is because I was the one that ended up with a spongebob chia pet :rotfl:

Other things that we had were
winshield wonder
touch n brush
bumpits
smooth away
belly burner
neckline slimmer
strap perfect
perfect brownie
bendaroos
snuggies
sound amplifier that looks like a bluetooth hands free device
shamwows
colon cleanse (should have seen the look on my aunts face when she opened this)
topsy turvy
slap chop
big city sliders
pedi-pistol (great!)
sure clip nail clippers

I think that is all. We will see how it all works. It was pretty fun and everyone agreed that we will do it again next year and keep each other updated on what works/doesnt.

What a funny idea! Please keep us posted.

Has anyone tried the Bullet Express?
http://www.bulletexpress.com/

I saw it at a store too and really want it if it works well

I love my Magic Bullet...I mostly use for fruit smoothies, making chicken salad, dips and scrambled eggs. I tried to puree baby food but couldn't get it smooth enough. Now that my baby is eating more solids, I'll have to try again.

I bought the bullet express from BBB with a 20% off coupon. I was expecting wonderful things. I actually watched the whole infomercial one time while nursing at 3am!

Bottom line -- we returned it. Using it was a "production" and I didn't have that much time.

What they don't show you on the infomercial is that to run the machine it takes like 8-10 parts. Just putting it all together and then breaking it down again to clean was taking too long.

I never tried the juicer part b/c I gave up on the various chopping parts. I had to keep going back to the instruction manual to see which pieces go where, what blade I was supposed to use, etc.

I really wanted to like it, but it's too complicated for our family.

Oh, and storing it was a challenge. All the various pieces would have taken up my entire bottom cabinet space.

It's nice to hear that some of you like the Perfect Brownie pan. DH always eats the edging of cakes and brownies and loeaves the middles (don't ask :confused3) so I thought that this would be perfect, he could ahve all the edges that he wants.

We have the Sham Wow, and it's ok.

Has anyone tried the suction cup dent remover? Wondering if it works. DH bought a used car with a few dents and dings to be removed prior to repainting.

Love my Ove Glove :thumbsup2

And (I forget the official name) but the hanger holders designed for a shallow closet or to just save space...it holds 6 hangers and hangs vertically.
My daughters closet is too shallow for regular hanger so these really saved us! Work great and holds a couple hangers in each slot so I get up to 10-12 hangers on one.
