Seeking the perfect resale contract

I'm stalking DVC resales to find a smallish contact at SSR Feb UY. I want 50 to 75 points. Any tips or advice for finding and getting a compatible contract? Thanks!

For 50, you might very well find just going direct may be a better option. I've seen some 50 point contracts, but they all go basically overnight, and I've seen them go for $125-130pp. I've seen some 75 pointers in the $120-125 range. But none of them have been February.

And that's going to be your problem - you are going to have to be extremely patient, and even so, may wait eons for a February contract. Only about 15% of Saratoga points are February UY, and then you need someone with one of those February contracts to be selling a small one.

While the $30pp difference is a decent amount of money on a direct contract, if you really need that February UY it may be worth it.

I bet they could fill a direct contact that day for you... It might be worth the extra $3,000 to have it done. Of course, I'm speaking from 38 days in ROFR.... I dunno...

The waiting definitely has me thinking about juggling multiple use years. I know there are pros and cons, but I'm generally pretty good at planning and have mad WDW excel skills

We made it work with 2 different UY back when we only had 50 or so in each, but it was tricky since there weren't many points to go around and combining is tricky. But now that we have more points, it's great to have different sets of points to use for trips throughout the year.

If you can be patient [for a few months?], you can find a Feb SSR. Or, if you think you may want more points in the near future, save up to buy a 100 point contract at SSR. We were considering a Feb UY 100pt SSR and saw multiple come up over the past 3-4 months, all at pretty fair prices.

Have you contacted any resale agencies to get on their email lists? Listings are emailed out before they're put on the website. Small contracts are usually gone before they even make it to the website.
