Sectional Advice

So is your back up against the corner? The corner seems like it would be very comfy! I definitely gravitate toward the arms, not the middle.

We have a sectional and the corner is my spot. It's very comfortable. We have two recliners in ours that never really get used. My sister a chaise with her sectional but she says it hardly ever gets used. i think it's because there are no arms.

we have a sectional...i guess you could say it's a modified V shape. the bottom of the V is rounded. i'd like to call it an L shape, but it's really not. it's 3 pieces that fit together, and there's a recliner on each end, which i LOVE. the only thing i don't like about it, is that the pieces don't stay together if you move the couch. they just really don't fit together well, and the furniture store guys who delivered it didn't know how to put it together, so we've been on our own all these years (13 years). it's very comfortable, though, and we have a pretty big living room, so it fits the space well.

Our old one was like that - the pieces were separate and not locked together at all. It was fine when we had carpeting under it, but when we took out the carpet, the smooth floor was tough. The pieces were always moving.

Our new sectional locks together which makes it much nicer.

I'd much rather have an ottoman. My sister has a chaise, and the fabric on the foot part gets much dirtier even though she nags her kids to take their shoes off. I also don't like the way they look, and an ottoman gives you more flexibility.

The chaise is the favored seat on ours. But the corner comes up a cool second.

I'm looking for new living room furniture and I'm considering getting a sectional. I do NOT want anything reclining and I don't want leather.

Anyway, I'm trying to decide on a configuration. For those of you who have sectionals, do you have just a "regular" L shaped or do you have a chaise or "cuddler" :goodvibes at the end? If you have a chaise or cuddler, does it get a lot of use? I think we tend to "curl up" on the couch rather than stretch out, so I'm not sure if we would like the chaise, but people I talk to seem to love them!

Right now, we have a big couch and a (very comfy) oversized chair. The chair gets a lot of use by all of us, especially the kids, but the set up doesn't really work in our new house.

Any advice would be great! Thanks!

We wish we would have bought an L-shape. The middle of ours is curved. NO ONE sits there unless we have company. My hubby hates it and he cracks me up when he says he wants to lay down...he looks like a slight U. :rotfl:

I also miss a table in between the longer couch and shorter couch. :flower3:

I wish ours was L shaped too! No one ever sits in the curve of ours either!

My sectional is on order. We got an L shape but a corner piece too. Right now we have a couch and a chaise. I love my chaise. I'm hoping that the corner of the sectional will be a good replacement. The store that we ordered from had lots of options.
