take a look at www dot castawayclub dot com. There are pics on the website. We have one booked for the first time (SR 6634). We loved our cat 6 on deck 6 bck in 2004....trying to save a few bucks this time, so we choose a Secret Veranda. From what I read, these are Cat 5 (located on deck 7) and Cat 6 (located on deck 6) that were reclassified as Cat 7's due to the partial obstruction.

There are "secret porthole" cabins that are classified as cat. 10's on deck 5 forward. I think the "secret verandah" refers to the public balcony on the back of deck 7.

The Navigator Verandahs are on the back of decks 5, 6, and 7. They are enclosed verandahs with an open-air porthole.

*The 4 staterooms mentioned by cats mom (below) have the regular plexiglass verandah rails instead of the open-air portholes.

I found them....TY...;)

There are 4 cabins with obstructed balconies. They used to be sold as Cat 5 or 6 cabins but folks were not happy paying full price for them so DCL downgraded them and they are now offered at a Cat 7 price.

6134, 6634, 7120, 7620

All of these cabins only accomodate 3 people.

Most folks here call them obstructed balcony cabins. When folks mention the secret verandah they are usually talking about the public deck on deck 7 aft. It's a small area and used to be a bit of a secret. Not sure that's so true anymore.
;)

Well dang...I called Disney and they are all booked for our sailing date and I cant change the res. because we have other family going. She said my best bet would be to keep my 12 gty and would probably be upgraded since there are 4 of us in a cabin...The secret porthole would have only been another 100.00 for all 4 of us...so I missed a deal for sure...however we're are just happy to be sailing with them again..inside, outside, porthole or whatever we get..:)
