Secret Slushies and Secret Doors

I'm wondering if we can get one delivered by those Disney personal shoppers.....:rotfl:

Are we even allowed to have those in the pool? I'm going to post on the Beach & Yacht club thread and find out for you skater! hehe.

And LOL about your son weeping over the pie! bahahahaha. He was so cute when I came by--the look on his face--I wish I had my camera with me.

Okay, so on to what's going on in life around here.....

Our church has a big Fall Festival at our house every October. We have two weeks to finish getting our yard ready. Yesterday I skipped church--:scared1: and worked out in the yard. It was such a pretty day. Let me tell you--weed whackers are NOT built for WOMEN!!!! Or short people. I am 5'8" and I could not reach the handle on that thing. And every muscle in my back and arms is in pain today. Someone else is going to have to finish the weed whacking because it ain't gonna be me!

We also have been working with the horses. Yesterday DH and I took them out on some trails in the woods on our property. It was so much fun! You could tell that Poco (the black one) was so excited--as soon as DD opened the gate he was waiting right there with his nose practically sticking out the other side. We had just been riding them in the pasture, getting to know them and all.

AND my fall scrapbook retreat is coming up the week we get back from our trip so I have to have everything ready for the retreat before I leave.

Not to mention all the wedding drama.....OH. MY. GOODNESS. I am shocked. Just shocked. I have never been so misjudged and disliked in my life! (at least not that I know of :lmao:) People are just mean. I really never believe those bridezilla shows......until now. I have created code names for people....DH's ex: MOE (mistress of evil). Bride's mother: MOB (mother of bridezilla). DH keeps telling me this is not helpful. Would you like to know what happened to inspire such drama?

Me--e-mailed MOB to tell her we had another name to add to our guest list.
MOB--e-mailed me back requesting me to re-send list and take DD to get measured for bridesmaid dress--take DD to David's bridal.
Me--sure--no problem.
MOB--e-mailed me to say she did not have the dress style number with her and could I ask Bridezilla for the info
Me--sure--message to B. asking for style #
B--message to me saying dress has not been decided and she is not registered at David's bridal yet but is planning to go that evening
Me--ok--I will cancel appt at David's and don't want to take DD until dress is finalized--mention that DD is having a hard time with school this year and don't want her to feel disappointed if I take her and she can't see dress
B--no response
the next day:
MOB--e-mails me telling me to "stop stressing B out" about the wedding and that clearly I was confused and the information was correct about the dress, they were just finalizing the color and if my DD is too stressed to be in the wedding just let them know . Just send her the measurements by Oct 1.
Me: :confused3 (WHAT?!!?) apologize for stressing anyone out. Will send measurements asap.
the next day:
Sister of Bridezilla (SOB) who is 12 years old: e-mail to me saying MOB and B are so stressed out and can I please just send the measurements so that all the tension can be removed.
Me--send measurements Saturday morning--after having time to ask DD to stand still for 5 minutes.

So it's clear that all the tension and stress over the wedding is my fault for not sending the measurements and for asking B for the dress style number. :crazy2: If I survive this, it will be a miracle. I cannot WAIT for my vacation.

I had somehow missed the part about the 12 year old emailing you. That whole story is insane :(. I had a bad moment with family this morning. At the same moment, my eyes traveled to the magic band box on the counter. I picked up the box and hugged it to my chest (no kidding ::yes::), and all felt much better. I think we both need this trip :rotfl:.

Hmm....maybe I should try hugging my magic band box.....do you think I could take it to the wedding with me? Or maybe just wear both my magic bands as accessories with my dress?

Three weeks from today we will be heading to that magical place beyond the borders of real life.....ahhhhhhhh. :beach:

Skater called me this morning allegedly to discuss her attire for an upcoming job interview. However, somehow we ended up talking mostly about our Disney vacation. :confused3 And tweaking a few plans. I mentioned that I had to get going in order to make it to Starbucks before coming in to the office. Here's how the conversation went:

Me: Well, I'd better get going and get in the shower. I like to go a little early so I can stop at Starbucks on the way to the office and get my salted caramel mocha.
skater: I will NOT BE GOING INTO ANY STARBUCKS AT DISNEY. You can go in and I will wait outside.
Me: :confused3
skater: (a little calmer) Maybe someday but I'm just not ready yet.
Me: What if I buy you a cinnamon roll?
skater: I DON'T EVEN WANT A CINNAMON ROLL!
Me: You don't want a cinnamon roll?
skater: NO!!! No cinnamon rolls.
Me: So no amount of bribery will get you into the Starbucks? You are going to make me go in there all by myself? You won't even come in to see what it looks like?
skater: NO! I'll wait outside.
Me: Okaaayyyyyyy.

I think she's serious about this. :sad1:

Me? I'm so happy to have my favorite drink in my favorite place I could just sing and dance! :dance3:

Anyhooo....here's the basic plan for Day 4

Day 4 Epcot All day—Monday
Walk to Epcot (skater likes it when I mention how we can walk from our resort to Epcot)
Get extra FP for Soarin? (how many fastpasses can we get for Soarin? in one day?)
Ride Living with the land with no FP?
• Living with the Land (FP) 9:45-10:45
• Soarin (FP) 10:50-11:50
• Club cool
• Maelstron (FP) 12:50-1:50pm (mostly for skater)
World Showcase
Lunch at WS Kiosks ((Did I mention that we each have about 49 items on our list of things to try at F&W?)
2:00-4:30 Swimming in our awesome pool (the term "swimming" is used loosely here as skater will be "floating" on her pool noodles which she IS bringing in her suitcase.)
5:00 MK Bakery Demo
5:30-10:00 World Showcase
Dinner at Kiosks (It's good we have another meal at the Kiosks....trying to get in more of our 49 items)

I didn't realize how sucky these photos were until I uploaded them to my computer when I got to work, but I'm too excited to wait until I get home, re-take them and then post them....so sorry but you're getting sucky photos!

The last piece of my costume arrived yesterday. WHOO HOO! I've never, ever in my life been this excited about a costume! :woohoo:

The overall view--cannot decide exactly how to wear the little blue and star lights....suggestions? I just draped them over the shirt for the photo.

Bracelet and earrings--cannot decide which ones to wear. I also have these cool one that are a blue sphere with little stars hanging down.

Accessories! LOVE my heart of the tardis!!!! It lights up! I forgot to turn on the light for the photo. Not sure how I will carry these items yet. I was thinking of a clear bag so you can see them even when I don't have them out. I think DD has one in her "stuff."

Headband--I will be adding a thin black plastic headband through the back--I don't like the elastic one--it pulls on my hair too much and my hair isn't long enough.

Okay, I can't stand it....I'll have to take better photos when I get home from the office today and post them. What do you think?????

:rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2:

We need a few extra days.

The Doctor's Wife! They're fabulous!!! Where did you find it all? Love the twinkle lights!

I don't know what to call myself....a Whovian channeling David Tennant? A Whovian channeling the Tardis??? I don't know! But I loved every piece of the costume!!! I searched etsy.com and Amazon.com for everything. The twinkle lights were the last thing I thought of because I was looking through some photos of costumes from the MNSSHP thread and lots of people had little "light up" things and I thought WHAHA!!! I need to signify the Tardis flying through space and time! I need stars!

I love the doctor who stuff!

But you did neglect to tell everybody how you threatened tears to get me into Starbucks ;).

It's true....(hanging head) I did threaten to cry....I forgot that.

Here's how THAT part of the conversation went:

Me: You won't go in with me even if I cry?
skater: I WILL NOT BE MANIPULATED blah blah blah and something about therapists

Now that I've revealed my costume to you, dear and loyal readers....who wants to know skater's plans?!?!?! Eh? ME ME ME ME ME!!!!

::yes::::yes::::yes::::yes::::yes::::yes::

Having trouble keeping up everywhere and I don't make it here to pre-trip report land very often. So I have lots to comment about.

Seriously great list of must tries! I'm hoping you make it.

How sweet of you to make an apple pie for skater and her deprived family. My husband makes an apple pie every week during the fall.

Wow! Costume for MNSSHP is AWESOME! Yes, curious to know what skater will be sporting.

Pool noodles- yes, ok to use at Stormalong Bay. There were some at the Marketplace when I was there in July. $4 each. Don't know what kind of packer you are, but you could put one around the perimeter of the interior of your suitcase.

Did you two know that for about a year and a half we had a noodle signup on the Yacht & Beach FAQ thread. One of our frequent posters donated a set of the super large (not regular size) noodles and we had a signup where people could request them during their stay. It went really well, but then some of the managers at the resort stopped allowing bell services to keep these for us. :(

So sorry about the wedding drama.

Yay about the pool noodles! Mine are just dollar store noodles, so I think I'm taking two - they'll fit in my gigantic suitcase easily, and there will be more room for souvenirs on the way home if I leave them there ;). The noodle signup was a fantastic idea! Wish it was still there.

I'm not sure if I'm dressing up or not. I'm usually more concerned with being comfortable, so unless I find something cure and cheap and comfortable, I'm going as myself :goodvibes. Maybe I can make something out of pool noodles :scratchin.

I don't know whether to say "Oy!!" or "Fantastic!" (extra points if you caught the references there!) about you going as yourself....certainly no one will guess who you are....perhaps we should take all of your typical characteristics and form them into a "skater" costume. So you would wear Mickey crocs, carry an over the shoulder bag with Disney pins on it, bring a sweatshirt in case it's cold in the restaurant, have a diet Pepsi in one hand.....what else.....have on some sort of Disney necklace and Stitch watch, your pool noodle and towel tied to your back, sunglasses and secret slushie in your Disney mug.....

And as an aside, I found this (and it's pretty fun): http://www.wikihow.com/Act-Like-Doctor-Who

The Dr. who costume is great my DH said don't forget the fish stick pudding and jelly bellys...........what ever that means?? Are you sure you have room for your clothes with a noodle in your suitcase..........:lmao: I was rooling on the floor at the last couple of pages of this thread.........even had DH chuckling

Well, at least pool noodles won't add much weight ;).

Well, at least its not a fanny pack anymore... I can't believe I ever did that :sad2:.

You're going to be so jealous when I'm floating past you on my pool noodles.

So nice when you find the time to stop by and comment! :) That yacht & beach club thread is hopping.

Why is everyone so concerned that I won't make it through my list of must tries? (hahahahaha)

I got the reference! What do I win?

Allons-y! You win a date with David Tennant!!!! On the Tardis! Watch your back yard! :yay:

Ah....fish sticks and custard! Tell your DH he is absolutely right!

We love to make everyone laugh. I seriously don't understand why we don't have hundreds of readers. We are hilarious! :thumbsup2
