So I'm in panic mode....what have I forgotten? Why don't I feel ready at all???

Update on Mom: I talked to her tonight--they admitted her to the hospital and were watching to see if she was able to pass some urine and if her creatinin levels went down--both of which were going well this evening. So no surgery tonight--they will re-evaluate in the morning. Most likely she will go home tomorrow. DSIL was there with her today and said she thought it was okay for me to go on vacation tomorrow.

skater and I have been e-mailing back and forth....
Me: what shoes are you taking?
skater: crocs and um...crocs...and I'm buying some crocs while we are there
Me: (thinking....should I take my tennis shoes? Are my sandals enough? What if it rains? I should check the weather again....)



Me: (thinking--weather looks PERFECT. I don't think I need tennis shoes. I hope my suitcase isn't too heavy. I wonder if I should take another bag? Better check the luggage deal for Southwest...but our flight is airtran...but we bought it through southwest....okay--we're good! 2 free bags!)

Me: printed our boarding passes
skater: yay!

skater: I'm taking 13 shirts and 6 pairs of capris.
me (feeling inadequate): I have 8 outfits. (thinking: maybe I need more clothes....should I take long pants? what about long sleeve shirts? I only have one sweatshirt....better pack another one....but I'll probably buy one....)

Can someone just come over and hold my hand until I get on the plane?!?!?!

The car is all gassed up and ready for the ride to the airport
My purse is re-packed (i.e. De-cluttered!)
Disney gift cards are ready to go (whoo hoo! Shopping here I come!)
Boarding passes are printed
Suitcase is packed....almost....just those few last minute things to add tomorrow

Tomorrow night at this time I'll be checking into my Little Mermaid room at the Art of Animation Resort at Disney.

We are at the airport. We made it through security. skater did the pat down and I did the x-ray thingy. We had drinks and dinner at Phillips seafood and now are chillin'. We couldn't get on standby on the earlier flight because it was Airtran and we bought our tickets through southwest. Well, we COULD but it would have cost anotehr $269 each. Not worth it.

Perhaps you should consider turning off phone (says the woman with no children!)? Lol, I know, not an option but tempting! I got a phone call from work during my resort checkin, boo! It will be great, everybody will be fine without you for a time. just think slushies with your names on them!

We are on the Magical Express Bus!!!! We used our magic bands to check in for ME. Skater is on the phone. I am updating our loyal readers on our progress. We are sooooo hoping the food court will still be open. I think every person on our flight is going to Disney. But we are going to have the most fun.

Checked into our Little Mermaid room at AoA. It's SO cute here!!!! The room is just charming and we really enjoyed walking around and looking at the amazing theming of this resort.

Had some dinner at the food court here--LOVED the food court! It's beautiful! We both enjoyed meatball subs--we were starving.

skater is doing her nightly crossword puzzle and I'm (again) updating our loyal readers. Hello? Bueller? Bueller? [COLOR]

Thanks for the updates.........now relax and enjoy your vaca! The little mermaid rooms look so cute. But my DH and I would never fit on a double bed.

Just checking in over here on our PTR which is about to become a TR....or a POST TR.....we'll see. We have had a wonderful time here at the Yacht Club. skater now claims ownership of the pool I think. We have lots to share about our magic bands experience (mostly good!) and our FP+ experience (also mostly good) and our food and wine experience (totally good!).

I spent the better part of the afternoon and evening sleeping....caught that cold my kids were passing around before I left and I was just wiped out after all that trick or treating at MNSSHP last night--which, by the way, was totally AWESOME!! LOVED the fireworks and parade!!! Highly recommend it.

Our weather has been PERFECT. Barely a cloud in the sky (which I might mention here skater noticed every single time a cloud appeared and you would think the world was coming to an end! Sheesh.)

It's our last night tonight. Got our magical depression bus time: 3:55pm tomorrow. We'll be heading over to ecpot again in the morning and trying a few more food booths before we take off for real life again. It's been so nice to be able to walk back and forth to epcot. Although if we had our choice, next time we would choose to stay at the Beach club and stay in a room CLOSE to the international gateway.
