Thats our house kristi Clutter!!!


We had field day today and kids had a blast. It was 99 today. We had mostly water activities. Only one kid got over heated but refused to drink any water. (so it was his own fault) We had water stations all over the place near each event and had parents non stop refilling them.. We even had a sprinkler set up. Probably our best field day ever...

Then Emily had a softball gamea and Anthoy had a baseball game.. Long day. Now I am off to take Anthony's girlfriend home then to bed. I'm tired. Tomorrow is Anthony's memory dance. Last Dance of the middle school.

You are a saint! How the heck did you make it all year with her? Are the first grade teachers putting in for transfer's now?


Kristi send the girls to your mom's and dump it all. When you get there blame it on the movers!

This girl is an interdistrict transfer. The district is going to reject her request to return. All of the 1st grade teachers breathed a sigh of relief.
I mostly feel upset w/the mom. I had 2 kids like this at the beginning of the year. The other one's parents took him to the low-income counseling center the school recommended. He is getting lots of help, and he has made huge strides in behavior. The family is using the techniques they learn from the counselor. This little girl's mom has not taken her for any help, and she is getting worse. It's tragic.

Hope Anthony has a great time at the dance (but not too great). We have our last day picnic at the park next door to our school. Then the kids are done. I still have a couple of days of getting my classroom organized for next year, then I'm done.

Kristi - hope the packing/ "weeding" is going well. That's library talk for dumping your junk.

We went to see U2 and Lenny Kravitz last night. Awesome show, but we got home at 1 a.m., and got up at 5:45 a.m. I am wiped out.

Heather: sorry you lost your wedding album How about a renewal of your wedding vows ... in Disney ... for a new album!!

LOL! I love that idea! I have always wanted to do a vow renewal at Sunset Point at the Poly, followed by dinner from Kona on the beach. then we would watch the electric water pageant and fireworks from the beach too. All my Limey Peeps are invited. I just have to convince Brian. We hit 14 years tomorrow....maybe at 20?

Heather, Janet's got a great idea there!

Janet, she is amazingly willing to discuss getting rid of "most" of the stuff in her closet (that she hasn't even looked at in over a year). That's HUGE progress.

Well, the dumpster is being delivered on Friday, so we'll be able to dig in and get stuff out soon...Wow, my house might actually manage to look clean for awhile! Not that it is dirty now, just cluttered....

We had Field Day on Tues, and 5th Grade Olympics is tomorrow.

Danielle, that would be so frustrating. It's one thing if the parents are trying, but if they could care less, that would be so hard to deal with. Glad she won't be there next year.

We've had our Field day 2 weeks ago ... still was a hot one. I do miss going to these events ... now that my DD is in middle school, it just isn't the same.

Hope your Anthony had a good time at the dance. I couldn't even get my DS to go to school functions.

Welcome back to all the "trippers"!

Kristi - when you get done with your girls rooms, want to come help me with my kids?

T - love the picture of you also! Kris will attend school functions but Jeff's are usually right after school & he is to hungry to go!

This was Krista's last field day of elementary school yesterday. Monday she graduates from 5th grade, Tuesday the have the 5th grade party along with the kickball game of 5th grade against the teachers & then they are done on Wed. That means I am done with elementary school. She is doing ok with it all except the fact that "but daddy PROMISED he would be at my 5th grade gradutation". That is the hard part.

Thankfully they are going to boost Jeff's math grade so that he will pass 7th grade. He has been working hard at math to get the grade up and his Language Arts grade went down, lots. And he didn't pass any of his SOL's, again. So even if he passes grade wise- the special ed section hasn't made any concessions for the special ed kids and closing the self contained classes at the beginning of the year. Right now it stands if a student is in an inclusion class, he/she must pass the SOL's as part of the requirement to moving to the next class. What fun that will be this summer! I also get to apply for a one on one assistant for him for next year. I pray that will truely help along with the tutor I am trying to fit in the budget for the summer for both of them.

On the plus side we now have the AC back up. The 70+ degree nights were killer for sleeping. Along with not having it at the office the past week 1/2. It was 85 at work inside and 90+ at the house.

David and I are going to the Army Birthday Ball this evening in DC and then tomorrow I pack for Chicago, I will be gone until Friday. So try not to miss me much while I am away.

I am on a recipe hunt. We got a bottle of Chocolate Whipped Cream vodka from MIL for our anniversary. I need to find recipes. tried it on th rocks, and it is good, but too strong.

My DH makes Chocolate Peppermint martinis for me and you could use that vodka for something like that.

Also you can mix it with Chambord for a Chocolate Raspberry Martini
