We've been in January, we've been in February, we've been in March, we've been in May, we've been in August, we've been in October, we've been in December...

But we've never been in NOVEMBER!
Now, we'd get the heck-up on out of there before Thanksgiving week, but...

Can you all give me the good, the bad and the ugly on the second/third weeks in November? Crowds?

We're three couples, possibly heading to the World in November, no kids (hopefully I'll be preggers by then, but who knows!) and we don't typically do the World when kiddos are out of school...

Will we LOVE November?! :cheer2:

We went in the second week of November 2004. It was rather busy when we were there due to Super Soap Weekend (avoid MGM on that Saturday) and Veterans Day weekend. Fastpasses made it manageable and the weather was great. I would definitely do November again but probably a week before or after the Veterans Holiday weekend.

Thanks for the advice, needawdwtrip!

Sounds like just what I was hoping to hear...I just checked the calendar, and I think we're looking at the week of the 14th, so directly following the long weekend. I'm sure the weather is great, we love going in October and were there for our honeymoon through the 31st of Oct. last year.

Unfortunately, looks like we'll miss the Food and Wine fest :guilty:

Ahhh, but you will have the Christmas decorations! Which is better than a bunch of food samples in my opinion :flower: . We went last year from Nov. 1-14, right smack dab during the infamous Jersy Week and Super Soap Weekend, and we had a wonderful time!! The weather was just so beautiful! At the end of our trip up went the Christmas decorations in our resort! I would think that the rest of the resorts were also decorated, and they are supposed to beautiful! Not sure when Park decorations go up, on December 1st maybe? I know they started lighting the Osbourne lights the day before we left (we missed them, darn!).

Have a great trip

Can't you hit the last day of the Food and Wine Festival? I did that a few years ago and was still there when the Chrismas decorations were going up. :earsgirl:

That's our month! We love November. We always go the day after Thanksgiving and stay until the first weekend in December, usually about 9-10 days. The weekend after Thanksgiving can get crowded, but come Monday, the parks are empty. The Christmas decorations go up the day after Thanksgiving , Osbourne Lights, and MVMCP start that week also. The weather can be tricky. One time it was 80 degrees and the next year it was 50.! We can't imagine going any other time of the year.

Ahhh, all of your replies are definitely talking me into this!!

We'd be staying at the Contemporary, thanks to a conference...We ALWAYS go moderate, so this would be a very nice treat for us! I just got the official dates...the conf. is Nov 15-18, so we'd probably stay through Saturday, the 19th (cheaper airfare than trying to fly home on a Sunday!)...

I'm thinking I can convince hubby that this would be a perfect few-days-late birthday present for me!

Anyone else care to add what these lovely folks have told me?!

We went in mid-November in 2002 and 2003 and had a great time. Good weather somewhat cool in the evenings and a little rain off and on but nothing horrible. The crowds come the Saturday before Thanksgiving and are gone by the Monday after.

In 2004 we went the week of October 21-28 which was nice but the Britsh and Germans have school holiday that week and with the dollar lower there was quite a few people from overseas. still managable
