Seating Question at Sci-Fi

I will be eating at Sci-Fi Drive In in about two weeks! We haven't eaten there before, and made the reservation because there aren't many other highlights at DHS right now, and the ambience seems fun. Anyway, it will be three adults dining together. Anyone have any experience about how we will be seated? Just curious at to whether they'll place us in two rows in a car, at a table, etc. Thank you in advance for your help!

We have been there each of our 4 trips and are a group of 3 with our son. We have always been seated in a car table. Our last trip we were in a three row car where we were in the front two rows and a party of two was finishing up in the third row. Not sure if it is accurate, but a CM told me the plain tables were for walk up reservations or people who just prefer a table over a car.

We are also a party of 3 and were given 2 rows in one of the cars. Third was never filled

As a party of 3 adults we have always been seated in the first 2 rows of a car. Often a party of "hitchhikers" is seated in the third row. We haven't found it hard to sit 1 in 1 row, 2 in the other because watching the film clips means there is minimal conversation.

The tables in back are for walk ups or those who request it. There is also seating that has the front and back of a car with a table in between, but those are usually for handicapped seating or large parties.

What about seating for 2 adults and my DH is a bigger guy? I had heard previously that the car seats are tight? Still true?

The car seats to me are pretty tight yes. Though two adults (even "bigger" guys) should not be too uncomfortable.

Here is about as good of example of the seating with adults in it I could find with a quick search. As you can see, it is pretty "snug" in the cars. At least you can see the width from the table portion to the seats.

To me it was not the most comfortable of seating, but we loved the food and atmosphere.

This is good info! It's been about 12 years since I ate there and I'm planning it for my September trip. I couldn't remember a whole lot about it...I guess since I wanted to forget the company I was with the place slipped by me too.
