Seating on Virgin flights?

The only downside we found about PE in the bubble was that the overhead luggage bins are very small due to the shape of the plane. Our rucksacks that went in the overheads no problem downstairs wouldn't go in upstairs.

Like I said on my pp, I wouldn't trust what Virgin say. Cause you have paid for seat + for your son that doesn't necessarily mean you will all be sat together.

If that was the case everyone with children would book seat + for one and the rest of the party wouldn't have to pay to pre-book, possibly saving a lot of money.

Does that make sense? It's hard to explain.

When do you travel?

Yep totally makes sense, we are more than happy to pay the extra for the seats so we all sit together just disappointed that Virgin told us differently even though I kept asking over and over "so we will 100% be sitting together" and each time I was told yes 100% you will.....

We fly out may 2nd 2016 and fly home may 16th 2016 x

Good, imo that situation isn't worth risking if you aren't willing to be sat alone.

It's sooo annoying that you have to pay extra to Pre-book seats when we are already paying a fortune but it's something that my family just HAS to do.

Yeah Mine didn't fit, luckily on that flight, all the Eco customers were moved downstairs because it was a quiet flight, and we could use all the other lockers.

We fly economy and chose the bubble last year and booked it again for next year.

You do get the benefit of storage bins to the side because of the shape of the aircraft. But they aren't very deep, we used them for all the stuff you find on your seat when you board, plus the children's rucksacks which don't have much in them. They were 7 and 10 when we flew. Don't know where that 12 age thing has come from. Am sure that is a rule for first class.

The gap between PE and economy is because there is a door, so that is the extent of the gap, they put half length curtains behind the last row of seats for PE but leave the aisle clear.

Getting off the plane was the front of the plane downstairs which was PE and first class, then the bubble then the rest of economy downstairs.

To be fair economy passengers in the bubble were fast to get down those stairs meaning they in front of those from economy downstairs. If you look at the seating plan you exited through the doors right at the bottom of the stairs. I do believe though that economy downstairs can be let off before the bubble but PE passengers get irate and have a pop at the flight attendants. Not something we saw but have heard that.

We fly PE due to medical reasons and always loved sitting in the bubble until Economy seats were added. We found that it was like the M25 with people wanting to go to the toilet and see what PE passengers were getting extra. The toilet queue one time was back to the emergency doors (never seen that before) so now we always have seats downstairs.

The only Economy passengers i have seen getting off first were the ones in the seats right next to the door otherwise it is downstairs PE and First then upstairs and then the rest of Economy.
