Hi everyone,

On our next trip my DD4 will be big enough to ride the above mentioned rides and I'm just trying to figure out our seating configuration. There will be 3 of us, myself, DD7 and DD4. DH has to stay with the little one. I'm pretty sure that we can sit 3 in one row on BTMR, but what about the other 2? With the lap bars I'm not sure we'd be allowed to sit 3 across on splash, and not sure if we'd even fit 3 across on 7 dwarfs since we've never ridden it before.

If we can only sit 2 across, would my 7 year old be allowed to sit by herself in front of us?

Thank you for your help!

4. If we can only sit 2 across, would my 7 year old be allowed to sit by herself in front of us?

1. Splash Mountain: 2-3 across (if you are small)
2. Big Thunder: 2 across, (3 if you are all VERY small)
3. SDMT: 2 across only

4. Yes.

Our DD was 6 last year. We sit three across on Splash and SDMT. We separate on BTMR because of the molding of the seat.

Not possible on SDMT due to individual safety bars.

BTMT does not have "molded seats."

I think you have SDMT and BTMR backwards.

You can get a baby swap, then each of you can go with one child for SDMT?

Splash and Thunder will definitely fit 1 adult and 2 kids. I'm pretty sure both are wider than BTMR.

Great, thanks for the replies. I'm trying to avoid using too many baby swaps because I don't want the 2 year old waiting around on us too much :)

This was our strategy with my 2yo DD: Me & DS FP+ for rides. DH FP+ for princesses (similar times). We ALL go up to the FP+ line for rides. Ask for baby swap pass. DH takes DD to Princess FP+. I take DS. DH take DS on ride again - if he wants to. I buy some popcorn for DD :goodvibes Or we go to the merry-go-around.

Usually DD is still happy over meeting princesses to complain about waiting for DS.

Another idea is to go into the play area for Winnie the Pooh. My kids will spend 30mins playing and not care if we don't ride it!

Prepare her that on 7DMT they fill every single seat so there will be a stranger next to her. Lines are way too long to let seats go empty, so they put odd numbered families together.

Just to clarify (since I will be with a 5 and 6 year old)…

Under 7 can not sit alone

1. even with parent directly behind them?

2. Can they be seated with an adult stranger?

1. Unlikely there will be a problem (depends on the ride and the loading CMs.)

2. With an adult "stranger…" no problems at all.

(Just checking to see if my MIKE is still working on this thread.) ;)

Good info. Didn't know SDMT was a 2-seater. We are an odd numbered family...let the fighting begin over who will sit alone. <shudder>

on 7DMT they may not be sitting "alone." They try to fill every seat. They may be with a solo rider or an odd number from another party.

When my daughter was 6, she wasn't allowed to sit with a friend on the other side of the TSMM ride vehicle. I was surprised since we were sitting back to back, but it wasn't allowed.

thunder and splash have bench seating.
thunder should be fine with one adult and two children, splash should PROBABLY be fine with one adult and two children.

seven dwarfs mine train is molded seats and each person gets their own lap bar so you cannot all sit together.

yes DD7 can ride in the row in front of you (the requirement is 7 which is why PP had an issue with their 6yr old)
