Hi,

For the Chef Mickey dinner- where is the best place to sit? I know there is no guarantee but it never hurts to ask and maybe if we ask the maitre d he or she will sit us in that area.

I understand there is a main area and few off area places. Is there more action in the main room? Is it closer to the buffet area?

Also, please is there a way to see the fireworks while eating at Chef Mickeys? I know there is a 4th floor concourse area but I mean while you are actually in the restaurant. If we ask for window seating can you see them or not?

Thanks in advance

Hi
I don't know the best place to sit, but when you get there, you can request the main area. I didn't know that, and in 2006, they put us off to the side. It was our first time there with my DGD who was 3 1/2 at the time. We were disappointed that we weren't in the main room with all the activity going on. We still had fun and the characters did come over and spend a lot of time with us, but I just think if would've been more fun to be in the main room. So last August we did request the main area, and we did find it to be more fun!! Also, I don't know about seeing fireworks from there. I only saw them from California Grill on the 15th floor. Have a great time!

There is no where to see fireworks inside Chef Mickey from my recollection.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Chef Mickeys a few years ago, and were seated beside the windows in that upstairs area. But, even though seated at the window, we couldn't see the Castle area of MK. Now, perhaps if we had been seated at the other end of the row we may have been able to get a peak but I doubt it.
I will say that that upper area is my favorite place to eat. It tends to be a bit quieter than the main floor. But, my dd is now 14 and it isn't nearly as big a deal to not see the characters all the time. Yes, the characters come to your table upstairs, and just as frequently as they do the main floor, but you can't watch the 'goings on' down there if you are seated upstairs.
