First a confession and a plea for help! I'm a grown-up, taking my 5 yo son to Disney on Tues. The thing is, that although I've been a lot of places, it was all as a child, so a grown up did my packing for me. The only place I've gone as a mom since then is to the beach a few hours away and it was the beach...pretty easy, yk? I've made a ton of posts on this board since discovering it and you all have been SO helpful. I've also read the packing lists, things to get, etc. etc.

Now I'm packing, and I'm panicking. I have to make ONE MORE trip to the store for last minute stuff and was hoping that one of you more seasoned dis'ers would help review my list real quick...I totally don't wanna get down there and pay a fortune for something that I had at home or could've gotten cheap at the $ store or Wal-Mart, yk?

Thanks if you can help!

OK..it's my 5 yo and I...

-Clothes, bathing suits, shoes, pj's, underwear & socks for both
-beach towel for the pool (along with aqua shoes, goggles, floaties)
-cameras, mem card, extra batteries, battery charger (blank tape for the camcorder)
-cell phone and charger
-toiletries and meds (pres. and just in case things like pepto and tylenol)
-snacks, gum, lollipops
-ponchos, waist packs, personal fans, bottle insulators (for water..have straps/clips on them)
-baseball caps (both)and hair things for me
-ziploc baggies
-sunscreen, aloe, wipes, shout wipes (for stains) anti bac gel
-lint roller, scissors, nail clippers
-journals for both, game (leapster) for kiddo, pen, colored pencils, etc.
-travel documents, ADR's, index cards with game plan on them (EMH, park hours, etc)
-Birnbaum's Disney book

I think that's everything. So what am I forgetting?? We're at POP, the rooms have blowdryers, right?

I just don't want to forget anything important, but don't wanna have a ton of useless stuff too!

Thanks for helping put my mind at ease!!

:hourglass This is not a test people, T minus 44 hours and counting! :cool1:

If you don't have them with your toiletries and may need them "feminine items" they cost a fortune if you have to buy on site. band-aids, safety pins, and I always like to take some change in case I need something from a machine and it won't take my dollar. List looks good I would leave out the lint brush but it's no biggie whichever way you go. If your bags are pretty full you may want to take an extra duffell bag/suitcase for bringing home "stuff" if flying. Have FUN!
Don't stress after all these years I've learned even if I forget something we will survive and if it is critical we can buy it.

One thing we bought after being in Pop and paid too much for was a small container of dish detergent, which came in handy for washing out the refillable mug, as well as the MM containers that they served the kids meals in...have to admit, we still have a few, they are so darn cute! Did you mention having hats? my dh got a nice little burn the first day on his scalp, so we put out the $ for a hat that he didn't need. Also, a light jacket or sweatshirt for cool evenings. have fun!

Oh...I also brought some ziploc bags...big and small. we stored the cameras in them within the bags in case of rain. The little ones came in handy for extra snacks that my son didn't finish. yes, Pop rooms have blowdryers...irons too!

This is good advice last year I forgot DS (5) underwear. Boy was he mad at me. I thought there is no way we are going to find underwear at WDW. We did not rent a car so I thought I am in trouble. I went to the gift shop at Pop and explained my situation (I was a little embarrassed.) The CM took me straight to the underwear-DS was so excited not only did he get Disney underwear but they glowed in the dark!!

Your list looks good. These are a couple of things I took on my last trip that were handy-
small calculator, pen and notepad-I am bad about over spending so I would write down what I spent in the parks during the day and at night add it up so I could keep to my budget.
Wet wipes-especially when you have a little guy.
Tweezers, Visine,Pepto, Tylenol
Ziplock bags-for camera and other stuff you do not want to get wet on some rides.
Extra bags-like the other post mentioned to bring back what you buy, we had some that rolled up and snapped that we put in our luggage, we came back with 2 more bags than we took.
Sunscreen-I couldnt remeber if it was on you list.

Have a great trip. :Pinkbounc  :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :bounce:

Have a great time! If you dont have room forgo the beach towels. We didnt pack ours and just used the towels the hotel provided. It saved us a lot of room in the suitcase not bringing the big towels.

You all have been very helpful, thanks a bunch!

I managed to pack everything in one big and one small suitcase, and that's with a bit of overpacking (extra clothes, etc) and most of the small suitcase if snacks, breakfast foods, etc.

We're leaving for the airport in a little over 9 hours...WOO HOO!!

Have a great time!!! :cool1:

We leave in 18 days!!!

Oh....did you pack sunglasses??? Those are a MUST!!
