Hey guys,

So I have my interview for Campus Rep tomorrow, however I was told you can't be both seasonal AND campus rep. :(

I asked my managers and they think I should go for campus rep, but I'm really torn. I don't want to leave completely, as I think I'd be needed down the line and could help out a lot.

However, I'm going to apply for an internship with GR next spring. They said that being a campus rep looks better than seasonal when applying. I however feel that I am a strong enough candidate that it shouldn't make a difference.

Anyone else ever been in a similar situation?

I wonder if that is new because I know the campus reps where my daughter attended the presentation went down and worked over Spring Break last year (we ran into a couple of them).

But that was last year.

Campus Rep, for sure!

As a Rep, you can still pick up shifts at your old work location. You would just get paid at the standard CP rate instead of the CT rate. Just make sure you keep your work location in the loop - it'll make it easier for you to pick up shifts if they're informed.

And the rule was instated around June last year, so that is probably why you saw the Campus Rep during Spring Break Liz :)

Definitely Campus Rep. Besides, starting January 2010, all Campus Reps will be required to complete one shift at WDW in order to receive a Blue Pass...so you're kind of getting the best of seasonal and CR. It's an excuse to go to WDW once a year, and recruit on your campus. And I can definitely see Campus Rep looking better to Disney in the long-run, and it is more of a continuously active position throughout the recruiting season.

if your wanting to persue a career with disney campus rep would help you out more. My recruiter said it is definitely better to be a campus rep. I had to this decision also, and i chose to be a campus rep. I was able to go back down and pick up extra hours, you just have to stay in contact with your old work location.
However, there are some serious downsides of being a campus rep. One thing seasonal cast members get paid more, so when you do go down to pick up shifts you will get the campus rep pay rate. Another thing is seasonal cast members also receive two comp tickets twice a year, campus reps don't. Starting this year in order for campus reps to receive a main gate pass, they must work at least one shift in fl. It is up to your old work location on whether they need people or not. So basically, you have to do the same things as a seasonal cast member, pick up shifts in florida, except you don't get the same benefits they do.

I would say that if your interested in doing a pi, or a career with disney to consider the benefits of being a campus rep, if not, definitely go seasonal
