I last saw this as The Living Seas. I went thru it on our first trip to Epcot. I was bored to death - not sure if it was just because it was bad or because we have a wonderful aquarium a few towns over. The next time I went thru was with my husband on our honeymoon (he didn't believe my assessment - his first married mistake :rotfl2: ) and again I didn't like it. He came out and told me it wasn't worth the time.

So, to anyone who has been since the revamp, is it better? I hear Turtle Talk with Crush is great, but what about the clam mobiles?

Just trying to find out if we should include it in our trip - LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

It's a very different type of ride than the original Living Seas. I consider it a relaxing ride. You pretty much sit in a clam shell mobile and ride through a dimensional/animatronic movie (sorry about the spelling there). It's not really a "WOW" ride but I thought it was cute. My 8 yr old dd enjoyed it. Let's put it this way, I wouldn't wait over an hr. for it.

Here are some reviews on it:
http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/ep/e_seas4b.htm Once you get to this page there is a link to click on for photos. Take into account that the photos don't really do much as there are lots of screens that had special effects to the objects in the photos, so photo taking is a bit difficult.

I thought it was awesome. Way better than the Living Seas. The Clam Ride was way cool. THere's a part where the fish from Finding Nemo look like they are swimming with the actualy fish in the aquarium. The revamped part after the clam ride was cool too. I think this is exactly what Epcot needed.

Technologically, it's an amazing ride. I love it. Turtle Talk with Crush was closed last Thursday when I was there.

We weren't very impressed by the Nemo clam mobile portion. It was difficult to follow the story (I still don't know what it is) and it's just a projection of the characters into a portion of the tank. Once you're off the ride and inside the pavilion itself there's the standard walk around the aquarium type stuff . . . plus Turtle Talk. If you weren't impressed before I don't think that this update will change your mind.

Although the redesigned signage out front with the characters and seagulls is actually well done.

I like the ride ok, no line even, but the walk from the entrance to the clam seems to never end, and that was when there was no line.

We really enjoy it. I think it's definatley worth trying atleast once. If you don't like it, then you know not to go on it again.

It's cute.. nothing overly exciting. The settings are all very pretty. I actually really like the queue area.. very pretty. Live fish are just a minor part of it and just at the end.

IMO, unless you have kids, Turtle Talk isn't to interesting.

Turtle Talk has been closed - I don't know when it is scheduled to open. We saw it in May 2006 and it was really fun, but very crowded - I think they are moving it to a bigger theater. It was closed 2 weeks ago.
The Nemo ride is cute, but DS2.5 didn't want to ride it more than once (meaning it wasn't on his favorites list). I thought the queue area was really well done, but the line was so short that we didn't get to enjoy it (not that I am complaining about a short line).

Turtle Talk was open this past Sunday.

The part I left out which is the most important thing is that DD3 loved it and she asked to go back and ride it again that afternoon which we gladly did. I would say it's something you should do once and the kids will love it.

My DD12 liked it so much, we went on Nemo 3 times in one day(very little or no wait each time)

I think that if you have kids you should definetly plan for it!! I think its a really cute ride for kids and for one glad that they are incorporating more attractions for younger kids at Epcot! I also think Turtle Talk is really cute!

If you don't have kids I would plan it in your schedule if one there is no line what so ever and two if you have time for it. :yay:

I think my philosy is try something once! What do you have to lose. You don't have to view the aquariums just do the rides and show and leave.:confused3

Have a great trip!

My 2 year old loves the new Nemo attraction. My 13 year old goes on it, but doesn't have many feelings one way or the other. Dh and I think it's cute. It's nothing mind blowing, but the queue line moves quickly even through it has to be the longest queue in all of Disney. The most we have ever waited was 30 min, and that was when lined up all the way to the outside door. The shortest was just walk up, but it did take about 5 minutes to walk the queue.

I'm looking forward to riding the new ride!!

The new Nemo ride is charming but not a big wow for adults. Turtle Talk was a big hit with the whole family. My husband and I have enjoyed it three times. A larger theater, which I think is in the works, will be a plus, reducing the line length and wait.

I am debating going to see Turtle Talk. My kids will be 4 and 5 when we go. Is it a show or is it just a question/answer with Crush?

Thank you all. We have no kids, but we are big kids when we go. It seems there are a lot of different views, so we'll probably try it once, and see what happens.

Not embarrassed to post that DH and I are in our 50's and Turtle Talk with Crush is on our must-see list. If your group likes Winnie the Pooh, they will probably like Nemo.
