Can anyone tell me where to buy SeaBands? I've never seen them.
Thanks,
Karen

I bought ours at Walmart. You may have to go to the Pharmacy window and ask for them. I believe they keep them behind the counter for some reason. They are awesome. We have one set for each member in our family. My 4 year old and 8 year old wore them last year on our October Halloween Magic cruise. We will be taking them again in three weeks when we sail the Magic on 9/25.

I can't remember the exact cost but I know they were under $10. Have a wonderful cruise!

Just a word of caution. Don't use them if you are pregnant. A friend of mine was told not to use them when she was pregnant because they are also a trigger point for miscarriage in acupuncture. By the way her DH was an MD - he said he looked it up and agreed with the "pressure point" specialist.

Thanks for the pregnancy advice. I'd gone to the drug store to buy one and they'd been out and was going to try somewhere else when I got out today. Now I know not to!! Many thanks!

Do Seabands really work? Should I still buy and take Bonine as a back-up? We are inexperienced cruisers so any advice is welcome!

Kiki, Interesting about not using them while pregnant. When I was pregnant I didn't have morning sickness, I had 24/7 sickness! Anyway, I lost 15 lbs. the first 5 months and my Dr. said no to meds but did recommend the sea bands. I wore them all the rest of my pregnancy. I swore by them. (My son is 11 and maybe things have changed since then.) I would certainly tell everyone to ask their doctor.

I had that same 24/7 sickness for nine months with both of my pregnancies! My OB also recommended the Sea Bands and they really helped. My kids are 7 and 3.

Sea bands....ARE used for pregnant women with morning sickness...it is stated right on the package...so not harmful for pregnant women.

I used them on the ship the first night while I got my sea legs..they worked great. I got mine at Kmart..the box is small..took me a while to locate it on the shelf.

Different people have different things to say about them...never worked for me, my mom or any of my friends that have tried them...only thing that has ever worked for me was Bonine, that was great! Didn't make me sleepy and kept seasickness away (which I KNOW I get if not taking Bonine)

Do you get Bonine at WalMart as well?

Yes, you can. It will be right next to the Dramamine and the Sea-Bands should be near there as well. DW swears by them and used them on our cruise and didn't feel sick once (also used them on the flight). Bonine was also kept very handy.

I picked mine up at the drug store for $7 so shop around. Ithought they were great.

I even take them to the parks and wear them on roller coasters that I would not otherwise ride.
