I was just watching some videos on you-tube of the restaurants and a few had Mickey scuba diving at The Coral Reef in Epcot. My kids would love this!! Does anyone know if this is still done and when he might show up? Are there any other characters that show up there too?

TIA!!:goodvibes

No, but they do have divers in the tank at specific times of day (you don't have to be in Coral Reef to see them, you can be in the Living Seas at the windows to see them.

There is also a special Dive Quest activity for people that are scuba certified. You pay to do a group dive in the tank. They do two dives daily, I think, starting around 5 PM, so you can also watch a large group of divers swimming around.

If you paid for my dive excursion into the tank, I would be more than happy to wear a pair of ears and a tail for your kids. :earsboy:

I think the Scuba diving Mickey is a clip from someone's photomovie. I know he was in mine from 2007.

I'm sorry, what's a photomovie?:confused3

You order it from the Photopass site. It is a video of all your picturs set to Disney music etc. I know in 2007, the EPCOT portion showed Mickey diving in a tank. It wasn't anything you could do- just a clip that they automatically inserted.

I looked a little further at the info with the video clip and even tho it was put on you-tube in 2007, it was actually footage taken by the person's parents in 1993 at a meal in Coral Reef. One of the comments was that he does dive on special occasions. Whether that's true or not, who knows!;)
