Scrappers Block? ***Updated with Pics of LO's Done So Far***

Love your sign post pages. I get very easily everwhelmed by all my pictures, paper and embellishments. First thing I do is mull over my pictures and decide how I want to do the album, either chronologically or by park. My first album I did chronologically and just lumped the pictures together by attraction, land of the park, or characters. My second album I did by park. So far I am liking doing the album by park. So far I have Magic Kingdom done and have 1 page left for Animal kingdom.

As far as my paper and embellies, I have plastic storage drawers that are 12" x 12". I have all my paper in one drawer and the stickers and other embellies in another drawer. That way when I'm working on my Disney album I can just pull out those 2 drawers and have everything right there. I have a cricut too and all the Disney carts except for the Pooh font so if I don't have an embellisment I just make one.

I'm still working on our trip from Nov. 2005. I got about maybe 7 or 8 pages done in it and then got major Disney scrappers block for about 2 years! :scared1: Then I found mousememories.com and found the perfect paper for the page I got stuck on and then I found the scrapping disboards. :cool1: Now if I get stuck I see what I can scraplift. Thanks ladies :flower3: Another great place I look for ideas is twopeasinabucket.com You can search the member gallery and find anything Disney related. Happy Disney scrapping!!

Great pages! I love the itinerary pages and the sign post pages. I fI ever start working on the ablums (behind 2 trips...yikes!) I'd like to scrap lift those.

Ok...y'all have inspired me! I got to work yesterday and made three 2-page spreads for some EPCOT pics. WOOHOO! Thank you all again for your advice and compliments. Feel free to scrap-lift whatever you'd like. If I get any work done today, I'll post them later...so until then, here are the 6 new pages I did yesterday:

And I've been combining pics from multiple trips, in case you're wondering about the missing arm/wand on the EPCOT ball.

I am so incredibly jealous! You're pages are wonderful!!! :worship: :worship:

I will definitely be scraplifting a few ideas, (as long as it is ok:goodvibes ) Thanks!!!

Those pages are fabulous! You actually USE those fancy stickers and they look good - I have a box full of them never out of the packaging - I am SOOOOOO scraplifting your stuff!

Great job on all the pages. I loved the park maps and itenerary page. I do most of my stuff digitally but always look at the traditional pages for ideas and got loads from you.
I too organize by ziplock bag when doing traditional pages. I get the photos together I want to use and add paper and embellishments along with a sketch of an idea or maybe a page ripped out of a magazine that I want to copy. Honestly when dealing with large amounts of photos I find that digital scrapbooking is REALLY helpful. When you do a big Disney trip there is just so many photos and I tend to take those great park pictrues of buildings and things and have about 10 to 12 of them on a page in a very simple box and rectangle pattern. Then I use traditional scrapbooking on my son's pics with characters or some of the other special pics. The upside to digital is that any embellishments you use are flat and you can cram a lot more pages into an album when everything is totally flat.
I also set goals for myself for the month. And they are really easy goals like one traditional page a week or three digital. Usually once I get started I do a lot more as I get into it but if you set small goals every months at the end of the year it really adds up.
But you are doing a great job. :woohoo:

Where did you get the park papers you used with the little sign posts? I haven't seen it before but I am fairly new to the whole Disney thing especially all the scrapbook items. We did our first trip in Dec 07 and I am just now about half way through scrapping that trip. I looked at Mouse Memories online for the papers but didn't see them. Thanks in advance for the help!

I got them in a pack of bound paper at WDW, pretty sure I found them in our hotel's gift shop (we were either staying at ASMo or ASMu that time). Good luck!

OMG!!Beautiful work! If you put all that into each page, no wonder you got stuck!! But please keep going! You got some great critiques from some great ladies and Ive seen photos of their work and they know their stuff!
I would also like you to come do my books too!
Sometimes you just have to put the books away for awhile and it will come back to you! I went to the Med on the Magic last year and havnt touched it, went to WDW in June and have more done on that!
I never work in order, I do what I feel like when the mood hits "Oh, remember that dinner at Hoop de doo? Lets do that!"
Above all else, make it fun for yourself, if its a chore it will show!
Again, just Beautiful!!

I think your pages are great. I really like all the memoriabilia you have included and incorporated with your photos. I love sign post page. I think I will have to scraplift that one as soooo many others have suggested.

Thank you all so much for your kind & encouraging words. I can't tell you how much that means to me. I love you gals! :grouphug:
It's back to work this week for me so the scrapbook's gotta wait for the weekend, but I'll definitely post more pics as I get it done. :goodvibes

Ok...it's been almost 2 months and I've only gotten 3 pages done and 2 more in progress. The 3 complete pages are as follows: 1 page for the Tree of Life in AK and 1 page each for our Dream Fastpasses. These are my first attempt at journaling.

The 2 work-in-progress pages I just started tonight, and they're for Everest. I kinda took an idea from an old Creating Keepsakes Disney idea book; in there, it was a BTMRR page where they ripped paper to make the mountains. Now I have my Everest Mountains but I don't wanna cover them!

I'll post them once I finish them...if I can bring myself to do that! :rotfl:

Wow, I am just blown away by your work!! Great job!!

Thank you all again for your very kind words. With the Hanna heading our way I think I'll be in the scrapbook room for most of the weekend and then I'll share whatever I can get done.

Ok I have to ask where you got the park scrapbook paper ? and what size is it?

We were at Disney same time and I even think we were at Animal Kingdom I can't remember :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
