Can someone show me pics of what they look like and how in the world do u do this... I have a tooonnnnn of old recipes of my grand and great grandmas and I think this would be a wonderful thing to do.. I just need to get pointed in the right direction... any advice would be wonderful!!!;)

I did this 2 years ago for my sisters, but didn't keep copies for myself. I've been meaning to take pix sometime when I'm with them, but keep forgetting. If one of them has time to do it for me soon, I'll post some for you.

I used 9x9 books. I printed out the recipes on cardstock & then cut them 3x5. (I have a template because I do that with all my recipes anyway.) For most pages I included photos of the person with whom the recipe originated. In some cases I had the recipe written in the person's own handwriting. Those I scanned, printed out & included on the pages. I still printed a fresh copy because most of those were so stained they were difficult to read...but it showed how well-used those recipes were.

These books weren't intended as "Cook" books, since none of us really cook with that much salt & fat anymore. But they brought back great memories of baking with those great ladies! :teeth: Of course it would have been difficult to actually cook with these recipes anyway, since they all seemed to be of the "add flour until it looks right" or "bake until it's done" without any amounts, temperatures or times listed. LOL How on earth did they cook like that?!?!? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
