A few weeks ago I booked a trip to Las Vegas for 4-11 to 4-14

the rates were pretty high since it was a Fri to Mon and since we weren't sure

if we could both get off of work we booked just a few weeks ago

wanna get away fare was sold out for going out so I had to book anytime fare at 508 PP!!!!!

coming home I could still get get away at 285PP

total just to fly 1586!!!! plus EBCI yikes!!

but DH has been having a rough time at school (hes a teacher with Milwaukee Public schools with a principal that harass discrimates bullies and gives no support to her teachers-to the point the union wants DH to file formal charges again her-) but enough about this--my point with sharing all this is that DH needs to get away and I didn't care what I paid--(I like to stash away money for trips)
so since I was going to pay for the trip--DH needs to get away I didn't care what I paid:rotfl2:

I happened to get an extra day off this week so this morning I was checking to see what the prices were only to see now

there were get away fares back up for 232 PP!!!!

I was expecting to get a credit which would have been ok since were going to Hawaii in July so I was going to use the credit then (were flying from WI to LA and spending the nite in LA so we don't have a 10 hr flight this is where southwest comes in

so I get on the phone right away and the girl said she could put it back on my CC

since it was a anytime fare it was refundable:cool1:

I didn't realize that!!!:confused3

so this morning I saved over $500!!!!!

only one week to go:cool1:

just had to share

just for fun I went to check again the fares and now the get away fares are sold out!!--someone must have cancelled and for once I was at the right place at the right time and got those seats!!!

AWESOME!

Have a great trip!!! :thumbsup2

Congrats on the savings! Fellow educator here from Waukesha school district where my little corner of the world in special ed. has been mighty rough. So I can relate! We are headed to Florida next weekend for spring break. Enjoy your time in Vegas and may you win big! :cool1:
