SCI FI Dine IN

if you havent done it, its worth a one time experience.
me and Dbf went last month on a day trip to disney, and we were both disappointed. the atmosphere is cool, but its the same short clips over and over, and the food wasnt good. it was just ok. and it was expensive. the only good thing was the chocolate shake. :woohoo:
but its good for a one time experience. after you eat, you will understand why i say "egh its just okay".

Went to Sci Fi for the first time in April, because I was always worried it wasn't good because of all the bad reviews that I had read on here.

Go for it!!! Totally worth it, very nice ambiance and it is a burger and shakes kind of place. We went for dinner instead of lunch.....menu was a bit better but they let us order from the lunch menu. Our server was new but he was TOP NOTCH. I mean he had only been working there for 3 months but he was really great and I made sure to mention that to the Manager before we left.

Reason being the people in the car next to us came in with a party of about 15 people. I guess they didn't realize they all could not SIT together and threw a loud fit to their server. He tried everything that he could to please them. He even offered free appetizers and drinks for the adults. They still weren't happy.

So that was why I went over to the Manager and told him that even though he was dealing that that issue, he was excellent.

sorry got a little off topic there.

I say go for it too. I enjoyed it when I went in 2002. The burgers were great and so was the onion rings. It is a little expensive, especially for just burgers and fries. But we have the free dining plan this coming trip, We are going in 28 more days and it will be both of my kids first visit to Disney and I am taking them to Sci Fi. My son will especially love it because he LOVES cars and movies so he will be on cloud nine...:rotfl:

I'm glad to see that they let you order off the lunch menu because I have dinner ADRs. I was starting to really worry that the food would be a disappointment for dinner...but it seems people say burgers/fries the way to go...so ordering off the lunch menu!!! I'm still holding onto my Brown Derby/Fantasmic Ressies...a least until I get closer...in case we change our mind.

Do they still have the glow-in-the-dark frisbees? Have they changed any if they have. I have one from 2002.

Okay Experts! My DS really wants to eat at the Sci Fi :3dglasses but DW has been reading various reports that put the Sci Fi in a bad light. :crazy2:

Anyone with any insight please help out.
To Sci Fi or Not?

Si Fi was always a must do for us for dinner but since they have changed there menu . We don't like it anymore our food was terriable. So sorry in my opinion for dinner it was a waste for us.

The Sci-fi is a good restaurant, but the atmosphere is what it's all about.
You really think your at a drive in movie. :thumbsup2

My family love the Sci-Fi......we eat there every trip. It is a fun experience.

We are going to Sci-fi for the first time in 10 days! :woohoo:

My question is...I don't see burgers on the menu anymore?? Can you still order them?? I am not thrilled with the other choices...I think they changed the menu since I made the ADRs in Feb. :confused3

Good question. Sci Fi is the one ADR that I am worried about because of the neg comments. But we are going in Sept and I have always wanted to try it.
Sounds like fun:yay:

We've been to the Sci Fi and my kids and DH loved the atmosphere. The food was okay, nothing super memorable except the onion rings, they were really yummy as I recall. One of the best parts was when the hostess first led us into the room, we had never been there before and my oldest DD's jaw dropped and she said, WHOA, COOL!! That's enough for her to put it on our must do list for next time so i guess for us its a . . .:thumbsup2
