My kids were bored out of their minds. The movies are black and white and outdated to the new generation. The food was okay IMHO.
The milkshakes were good and the service was good too.
We won't go back. They would be better off running a disney movie. That would be just as cool.
We never miss Sci Fi. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews. It's a burger and shakes place. Just don't go expecting steaks or fancy food. It's fun!!! We always make a reservation for around 3 if we are at HS in the daytime. It's a great place to cool off. As for it being dark, it has to be. You eat by the "dashboard" lights of your car. It feels like you are really outside at the drive in. The waiters and waitresses make it fun. Last time my son got a Sci Fi driver's license. We also love the glow in the dark cups with the sci fi logo. Ask about them if don't see them on the menu. We use them all the time at home. Definitely make a reservation. As we were waiting for our table last time, DD and I counted ELEVEN people that walked in asking for a table in about 10 minutes time.
Just noticed that you are from KC. We are also from Missouri. And also headed back to Disney at the same time as you! Have fun!
Just wanted to say Hello and enjoy your upcoming vacation to the fellow Missouri Diser's...
Definitely have to agree.. Sci Fi is a must-do every trip for us...And just wanted to throw in I am also from Missouri and will be headed back to the Poly for another wdw vacation in 32 days!

LOVE KC!We are the same as you its our first full day tradition. DH says it would not be the same if we did not go there for lunch.
Food always been good and the service both fast and friendly.
I have had the burgers several times and I have also had the pasta with chicken rather than shirmp and both were huge portions and lovely. DH again burgers and he had the steak which was cooked to his liking and more than large enough.
We love the adult milkshakes and we also order cherry cokes as they make them properly as opposed to the pre made.
We love the clips and just the fun idea of eating in the cars. But we are fans of the 50's style cars and the movies are funny.
On a side note we watched the blob in full the other night and both of us said it was not the same as seeing the clip in the Sci Fi![]()
Surely my 4 year old would enjoy this right or is it more for older kids?

We love this place! Its a tradition to do this as well for us. I am thinking about doing this for lunch on our departure day..... is the wait long for lunch? I wanted to make the ADR for like 1230 and I dont want them to be behind. If we have to catch the ME at 3 than that should be enough time right?
If I don't want to pay $16 for a burger can we still go there just to check it out and have desert? also do I really need reservations? IS it much more than a steak-n-shake or windsteads? i mean I have I love lucy reruns on tv everyday and I turn away from them everyday... Do tell is it a cool atmosphere?
All restaurants at WDW get bad reviews, even the holy grails like Le Cellier.
This is true. Everyone has different tastes, and with so many ppl visiting disney each day, its not surprising that almost every restaurant gets a negative review. Im one of the ones who doesnt really care for the "holy grail" le cellier. I find it very over rated, the steak wasnt good at all. But thats another thread! All restaurants at WDW get bad reviews, even the holy grails like Le Cellier.
Is all of the seating in cars? Or should I ask for that when I check in? I wouldn't want a "normal" table here, right???
Yes, more of a movie with food. You can certainly talk but it's a quieter atmosphere.Or is it just that it's not a regular social sharing-a-meal-together type of atmosphere - more of a movie with food?
Yes, a 4 year old would enjoy. There are monters on the screen but it's very old style and not really scary at all. It's pretty cool.Surely my 4 year old would enjoy this right or is it more for older kids?
