How many people do the cars hold at Sci-Fi? Just wondering how they would configure a table for 5. We've never been and from the pictures it looks like each car has three rows. Any Sci-Fi experts out there? We were debating between this and Prime Time for lunch. We have been to Prime Time and enjoyed lunch. Ds loved the desserts.

The cars seem best-fitted for four adults... Maybe you could fit three children in the rows. I only know of cars with two rows. Also, as you may know from the pictures, everyone faces the same direction, so communications can be tough.

I won't find out first hand until next week but I have been told there are cars that hold 4 and cars that hold 6. I am hoping to get a car to myself for my family of 3 (a 4 seater). You should get the 6 seater to yourself. I really just don't want to share. Selfish me. :goodvibes

Our first time there as a family of 4 we were given a six seater and "picked up two hitch hikers", aka a party of two in the rear. There are also a few tables at the back and some cars that are configured like tables. Unless they are really busy you should have no problems getting a 4 seater.

We've always been there as a group of 3 or 4, and we've always been seated in a car with 3 seats (holds 6 total). I think there are a lot more of the 3 seaters than the 2 seaters, which is kind of a bummer, because they always put a party of 2 in the back seat, which really inhibits our conversation (which is already difficult just because you're not facing each other anyway).

That being said, the truth is you're mostly there for the atmosphere and the cheesy B movie clips anyway, so maybe the conversational difficulties aren't that big a deal :)

You will get a car for 6 for yourselves. and you will configure it anyway you want.

I guess one of us could sit in a single row....alone (I'll volunteer for that). :cool1: One more question. It looks fun but has anyone had a little one (5ish) that didn't enjoy the atmosphere?

If possible I'd put the person in the single row in the middle of the 3 rows, so as not to be "left out" of conversations, etc. :flower:

We are a family of five and just ate there 7/2. We seat the two younger boys in front, the big son in the middle, and my husband and I take the back seat.

We have had 2 and 3 seaters.....I find the Sci Fi almost impossible to carry on a conversation in anyway, due to the noise of the movies, etc. I think it would be tough to put even 3 little kids in one seat - the "table" area isn't that big. You should be given a 3 seater. I would still put the "odd" person in the center seat, though.

When our family of five ate there, we sat at a table. The cars are neat but I actually prefered the table.

Given the noise level in there, Ive never had any problems with feeling that the hitchhikers are evesdropping on our conversations, actually we usually end up chatting with our seat mates so we don't have to yell.
