School project- actors and actresses

My daughter has a school project- she has to take a book she read, pretend she is the outhor and write a letter to a fake movie producer trying to get them to make her book into a movie which she did- but then she has to also recommend a shooting location which she has also done but also actors and actresses to play the parts- which is where she is hung up.... She used the book Wait Till Helen Comes

anyone have any suggestions on child actors?....she needs a

nice 12 year old girl
a nice 10 year old nerdy boy
a mean 7 year old girl who turns nice
and a mean mean 7 year old girl.

I'm a huge fan of Saoirse Ronan (she played the girl in Atonement). She's 15, but might be able to pass for 13...

Jackson Brundage (Jamie on One Tree Hill) is one of the coolest TV kids ever... he's only 8 or 9, but could probably pull off a nerdy 10-year-old. Simply awesome, this kid is!

The little girl who played Emma on Guiding Light is a great little actress. Not sure how old she is.... her name is Jacqueline Tsirkin. So is Kiernan Shipka. She plays Sally on Mad Men. Again, not sure of her age. But between the two of them they could probably fill in your two 7-year-old girls.

Could you cast any actor/actress regardless of their age now, but who were known as child actresses? That would open up the casting choices...

If not, then take a look at some of the kids on the Disney shows, Nick, kids on soaps. The problem is that kids age out of the little kid roles so quickly.

Nice ten year-old boy - Frankie Jonas (He's 9, so he's old enough.)

For the 12 year-old girl
Dakota Fanning is 15 or 14, but could convincingly play younger

Abigail Breslin is 13

Jaden Smith (Pursuit of Happyness) is 11

Willow Smith (born in 2000)

Alex Wolff(Naked Brothers Band-born 1997-he's the shorter one in this pic)
