Would love to plug in a Scentsy unit in our cabin with a light scent to make sure the room smells ok.

Is this allowed? I know candles aren't. Scentsy has no flame.

Personally, I wouldn't bring a warmer. I think a scent circle or scent pak would do the job well and would be much easier to pack! I'm a consultant and have considered giving out scent circles as FE gifts!

You might have a problem with finding an outlet...there are now outlets near the nightstands on the Dream and Fantasy, but for me, that would be too much scent right where I'm sleeping. I think the only other outlet is near the desk, and if you're like most people, that's where you'll want to charge your camera, or plug in a curling iron or some such.

I know that in the past, when we've cruised at Christmastime, the stateroom hosts were instructed to remove any decorations that were plugged in, so you may have a problem with that, too.

I take Gold Canyon's hanging car air fresheners. They're easy to pack, wrapped in plastic, and you remove a small portion of the plastic as each day or so goes by.

I don't think you will feel it is needed. There was a post I read earlier about a certain scent that is piped all over the ship. Maybe someone else
will remember.

This would be news to me. 12 Disney cruises and I've never smelled anything or heard about this.

Take a few Scentsy travel tins instead. You can put a couple in the main cabin area and one in the bathrooms. Use the Ocean fragrance.

Then you can toss them under your car seats when you get back and remind yourself of the cruise.

Thanks all!

I grabbed a Yankee car jar and will use that.

I hope the piped in smell isn't like the Grand Floridian! That smell is a migraine trigger for me!

I wouldn't worry about it. I've been on the Wonder and the Fantasy and never experienced any piped in smell. Enjoy your cruise!

Interesting. Nothing piped-in at Disney has made me feel sick before. But scentsy stuff certainly has - especially in closed-in spaces.

Thanks! I can't wait! Our first with DCL after one on RCI (fab!!) and one on Carnival (horrible!) :)

Meyer Lemon will hopefully always remind me of the Dream now!

If it looks at all like a candle jar, expect questions as you go into the port. I had an empty candy jar from Wizarding world in my carryon and they had to ask questions because it looks like a candle jar.

Our rooms have smelled just fine fwiw. And remember that what you think smells nice might be a problem for the next people in your room. (Said as someone who has never smelled a scentsy or Yankee candle smell that didn't make her ill)

Oh yes! I agree on Scentsy!!! I love several scents but have to avoid a good 60% of their catalog.

Kitchen smells are safer for me but anything floral kills me!

I tried to go very neutral (lemon) as I don't want to cause issues for others.

It is just paper- like a car air freshened but instead of a pine tree shape a jar cut out shape.

I hope lemon won't offend anyone. Trust me when I say I am terribly smell sensitive and try to be conscientious.

I don't wear any perfumes or body sprays ever for this reason.

Does anyone think lemon is problematic? I can leave it at home if I have to.

I'd probably be ok with lemon. I know those things are strongest when first opened...maybe leave it out for a couple of days if you feel your room smells and then put it away in a ziplock bag?

(Of course, I'm also weird and love that typical "hotel smell", (non-smoking only) so...)

don't do it. bring a scent circle, the travel tins or the buddy inserts. or do what I do and bring the room spray.

the plug ins are not authorized and may be confiscated,.

Those are just like the ones I take....you'll be fine. The only person who will smell it besides you and your family, is the stateroom host. Lemon is a great idea.
