checking out the 10 day forcast is showing me until wed. of next week. but its showing scattered or isolated thunderstorms the first 4 days we are there. :sad2: :sad2:

my question is #1 how accurate would you say these forcasts are ?
#2 - it has only rained twice on our trips and it really wasnt that bad, kind of a nice cooling rain...is this what it normally is that time of year or are they the huge downpours that close everything down?

I was there last Wed. and the forcast was mostly cloudy with thunderstorms in the afternoon. All we saw were a few passing clouds. It was a great day! Don't worry about anything.

In FL scattered or Isoloated T-storms means exactly that. Depending on where you are it could be raining in only one area or it may not rain at all. Here in Miami it could be raining at my house but the minute I get in the car and drive 5 blocks and it's not raining at all. It could rain at the Ticket and Transportation Center and not be raining at the MK. FL rain is really strange like that.

We were there last week, and it showed rain for the whole week. Sure we were bummed, BUT the rain totally missed us. It went around WDW. We were so happy that our vacation was not full of squeaky shoes and watered down hair. You can't trust the weather that far in advance. It's a guess...not cast in stone :)

We have been Memorial Day week the last few years and we have had weeks with no rain and 90 degree temps and we have had weeks it rained every day. You just can't tell. I am hoping for very scattered showers next week, we'll be there 5/26 - 6/3.

Scattered is right. We were at POP one day and noticed people getting off the MK bus soaked to the bone. It turned out they had gotten caught in a nice little storm. Yet we were dry and sunny all day at AK and POP hadn't gotten a drop of rain either.

I would bring some kind of rain gear anyway or plan to buy it at WDW. We now bring cheap lightweight umbrellas from the Dollar Store. If they break or we lose one, it's no big deal.

Driving across the FL panhandle on our way to WDW a couple of June's back, I was amazed at how strange FL rain is. We had several points where we were driving along in sunshine with just scattered clouds around, then all of a sudden we were in a huge cloudburst and driving 30 mph. Then, minutes later, it was a beautiful day again.

That's FL rain!! Pouring for 2 miles and then beautiful the next 5 miles! I've actually been standing outside my house, by the mailbox and it was pouring down the next street. FL rain is very strange.:confused3

It could rain in Tomorrow Land and Fantasy land but you'd be dry in Adventure land. It's very unpredictable and fast, especially the scattered showers. They pour for 10 minutes and then it could be clear the rest of the day.:yay:

we just got back saturday (there a week) and everyday it said scattered thunderstorms- only time it rained on us was friday eve at epcot....

but don't do what we did - we brought ponchos with us, carried them for 6 days and left them in the car on .... yes FRIDAY! and it poured that nite. actually, i guess it was our fault it even rained... because if we had them with us it surely would not have!:confused3
