Hi!
as you can see by our countdown clock we will be headed out to HHI at the end of this week. I have a couple of questions:

1)any wonderful garden centers--I like herbs, perennials(hosta, ferns, peonies)-- near Savannah/Williamsburg? we will be driving & I will make room for a few small plants or wonderful planters! :thumbsup2
2)is it far too early for roadside stands--fruits/veggies--in NC/SC/VA?

thanks in advance for any help :sunny:

If you are driving through the Williamsburg area...DEFINITELY stop at the Pottery. If you are driving through on I-64 look for the Lightfoot exit and follow signs to the Williamsburg Pottery Factory. It's an "outlet" style place, but it's been around a LOOOONG time. In the back "solar" buildings, there are some GREAT buys on plants, planters, baskets, craft items, salt glazed pottery, some gourmet foods, linens, nearly anything.

The garden center is FABULOUS! Lots of concrete decorative items REALLY cheap! The greenhouse is okay...not the best I've ever seen, but the prices are good and the selection can be good (probably better this time of year).

Here's the website for the Pottery: http://www.williamsburgpottery.com/

I think it's still a little early for roadside fruit/veggie stands here in Virginia...but you might find some in NC or SC (don't really know...I know there are some on the way to the Outer Banks, but I'm not sure what they'd have at this time of year).

Have fun!!
