SBP brides, where did you have dinner? My DF doesn't want to travel around alot on our wedding day, where did you eat dinner? Have any Escape brides had a meal at the convention center? What do you think? Where should we eat?

Hi!!! I had my ceremony at ten so I had to do a luncheon...I didn't have that many options because a lot of places don't open until dinner so you are lucky, you have a lot of choices.

I say try and pick some where around the boardwalk..I wish I would have. We went to GFC and didn't really care for it and I had issues with it before hand and it really is annoying to have to travel all over the place. Iwas worried about the restaurant being pretty so that's why I chose GFc..I wish I would have just picked a casual restaurant and ate at Spoodles or something.

How much do you want to spend? yaghtsman steakhouse is a good restaurant but is a little pricey..if I was going to have a nice dinner I would go there. Go to allears.net and take a look at the menus at the boardwalk, beachclub, yaght club and the swan and dolphin and see what one you like.

We're having a 5pm ceremony at SBP and having our reception at Shula's Steakhouse at the Dolphin. We're having a private room which has a minimum, but we're also doing cocktail hour and having the cake there instead of at SBP. My family loves meat and Shula's, so we figured it was perfect. So far it's been a great experience. They will go over and beyond trying to make your evening awesome! I chose it mainly because you don't have to eat at a certain time... we booked the room and then let them know what our schedule was...

What were you thinking you'd like to do?

Thanks girls for all your advice. I'm still really unsure. I think I'm leaning towards doing it in the Boardwalk Conference Center, but I'm afraid it's going to be ugly...plus we don't know how many peeps either 10 or 20. I'm going to look into the S&D though do they have a packet with pictures and info they can send me. Also if I have it in a conference hall I kind of want to take the violinist with me...do you think that can be done, you know for a price (knowing disney a very large price:faint: )?

The Boardwalk Conference Center lobby is pretty, but it looks like a regular convention center in the rooms where you would have your buffet. If you go to this website http://disneymeetings.disney.go.com/dwm/home/home?name=HomePage , if you have quicktime (you must use internet explorer for this page, mozilla can't handle it) you can look at pictures of the conference rooms. The pictures are under the virtual site inspection button on the right hand side :) HTH!
