SB:Layout time?

How long does it take you to finish a page? I usually work at a two page spread at a time and am finding that I average about 4 hours per 2 page spread! And I usually have a good idea before hand as to how I am going to proceed! Am I just excessive or do the rest of you spend this much time!

I would say 2 hours + for a 2 page spread (mostly only do 2 pagers). Once I finally get going, I do ok, but I "plan" for days - LOL.

it takes me hours! Mostly in the planning and pondering stages, and then I take a while to cut out my titles - I don't put a timer on, but usually I do one double layout in an evening - sometimes it takes me two evenings.

I don't know I never really timed myself. I think it depends on what I am doing. If it is a special album or day....then it takes a long time I might only get 2 lay outs done in a couple of hours. But if it is just the kids every day album of them playing or at the pool...etc then that doesn't take as long and can really crank them out.
I have a hard time when I want to do a lot of writing and really want to capture the moment

I go to a weekly crop. I am there about 4 hours. My goal is to finish one 2 page layout. When I go with a plan, I usually finish more pages. When I start out with just the pictures, 2 page are just about all I can accomplish.

It also takes me about 2-4 hours for a 2 page spread. I'm a major planner. That 2 -4 hrs is usually spread out over days.

Whew! Do I feel better! Here I thought I had a constant case of creativity block!!!
I have to admit I can sit there and stare at the pages and rearrange the pictures a dozen times before I finally actually stick something down.

Man, hearing this does make me feel better. It takes me much longer than my scrapping friends around here to do a two page spread but I'm just about on par with ya'll. I do like my pages a lot better than the local scrappers though, just not nearly as much as the pages I see on the net and in books. I guess you could say I'm not playing little league but I'm not anywhere near the majors either, lol.

Takes me 30 min - 1 hr for a 2-page layout. I do fairly simple pages. I've also been doing this for about 6 years. When I first started it took me a lot longer.

It vary's. If the pictures are of the same event, I can do a two page spread in about 45 minutes. If they're of unrealted events, and I have to find a common "theme", then it can take much longer. But like dizfamily, I've been scrapping for about 6 years. In the begining...much quicker now.

I'm just the opposite! When I first started, I could do my pages relatively quickly. Now I am much more critical, and I seem to take much longer. But I'm also happier with my results now.
