Saying thanks to CLs

I have a habit of walking up to Community Leaders when I stumble across them, and say "Thank you for being a leader." They seem taken aback, and very grateful. It's sad that they don't receive more recognition online, or at least it seems as though they don't because if they did, they wouldn't be so flabbergasted when I say it. I don't hang around and wait, I usually just say thanks and move on. Sometimes I chat, if they initiate it, but usually they are doing their own things.

Anyhow, I just wanted to pass this idea along to everyone, especially with all the hoopla going on this weekend. It might be nice to say thanks to those that help us all while online.

And, of course, a big hug to all the mods here who help us everyday, in every way!

I have to say thanks for doing this. You said thanks to me this morning and it was the first time I have heard this. Nobody has ever thanked me for being a leader before. Usually you hear the bad things and never the good things. Too many people think leaders have special powers and get things for free, so what I am used to hearing is "give me something for free or I will report you" or something to that effect. So thank you for thanking me
