I HATE that 9 Marines from the same part of my city died in Iraq yesterday.
I HATED reading the front page of the local newspaper today.
I HATED explaining the deaths of 14 young men(and so many more) to my 10 year old son today knowing that someday...
I HATE remembering what it felt like to know someone you love has died in combat.

Shortbun, I am so sorry. We lost a friend, just one person from our town last fall, and his family and his friends, and the town are still feeling it.

I have some liberal ideas, but I totally agree with this.

I think that once a woman goes on welfare, she should be state mandated to be on birth control, especially an unwed mother. I know a girl who had a child at 15, another at 18 and another at 20 all from three different fathers, of course, all while receiving welfare from 2 states (one where she went to college, one where she was raised.)

Also, that both me and my boyfriend had to pay off our college loans, (he STILL is!) while other people who *finagled" their income manage to have it all paid off and have enough extra in financial aid to take vacations without paying for a cent of it.

I hate that there is a working class living with stricter incomes and less amenities than those on welfare.

I believe welfare is a good thing in certain situations, and it's certainly necessary esp. with unemployment up, but I think they'd have more to spend on those who truly needed it if they were more intelligent with *where* that money goes.

And lastly, I wish life were fair. Wouldn't that be nice?

I love being a young grandmother. I think its great when store employees and others assume I am the mother of my grandchildren.

A few more to add:

I hate hurricanes. I am happy when they aren't heading towards me. And I pray for the people that they are heading towards (whether or not those people like that I am praying for them).

I think the bag checks at FL amusement parks are a big joke (WDW included), and that really bothers me. Do you know how many bombs I could have brought in because I am attractive blonde with a young child? I get waved through. Terrorists are not that stupid, they are not always going to fit the "profile."

I love the DIS boards. But I waste so much time here it is not even funny.

I hate when I have so much work I cannot get to the DIS!

I am really nervous about my son's birthday party this weekend. We invited his friends and their parents, and I feel a little uncomfortable around people I don't know.

I can't stand that because I am a Christian, people label me as being a mindless sheep, and not very bright. I have a brain and I use it quite well, thank you, and my IQ is not too shabby.

I can't stand when other Christians judge me because I don't think that the whole world is evil and I am above it. Get over it, you are a sinner too. If you realized that, you would be a better witness.

I sometimes spank my child, I bottle fed him, and I made him sleep in his own bed. I have a job and only spend 3-4 hours a day with him on weekdays. I am still a good mother and he is a wonderful, loving, well-behaved child.

I hate the fact that the only way I will ever be "wealthy" is if I win the lottery.

The world my children are growing up in scares me.

On the DIS, I hate when someone starts a thread, and people use that thread to talk to each other. "Hey, you're from _____, I grew up there! Do you know where ______ is?" "No way! Small world, I grew up on the West side. Have you ever been to _____?" Um, hello?

Here there is 1 year maternity leave that can be used in combination with the father. I believe it is either 6 or 8 months if you adopt. These aren't employer paid but come from the employment office (goverment funded).
