That's a good start. Now.... add all the rest of the fees..
How much are the closing costs (calculated by amt. of pts.) ?, financing thru/at %??, passing ROFR..

IMHO... for $6. more...$107. thru Disney is still a better deal with the 4 day cruise incentive, set closing fee, instant membership and making ressies within 2 weeks.:goodvibes...but that's just me.

Sounds like someone bought just for the incentives and now is selling off the contract.

Well that sure wouldn't make sense! My guess is they had a monetary reversal and selling at a loss was better than keeping it. Maybe they bought a full contract AND a small add-on and decided to keep the add-on only.

Could also be someone who bought @ DLR to get Founder's status, never really wanting BLT. Just waited to close on VGC to start the sale for BLT, then use proceeds from it to pay for VGC? Might even be able to deduct the loss on taxes...

I doubt its for the incentives. With the commission and fees, he's gotta be taking a big hit. Must be monetary issue.

Really commision on that is probably going to be around $2,500. So I agree seller is taking a loss! They are only going to clear around $90 a point!!! Since it never sold for that low........YIKES!

Buying it doesn't seem like a good deal to me either.

$101 a point? Closing costs are let's say $400. (splitting differnece on various brokers)
You are now close to $103 a point!

I think the seller needs to drop more to offset the incentives etc....But then the loss goes up. It's just too soon to sell this one!

probably something worst - divorce or death.

DVC though was doing a better check on your finances for BLT.

I think the guy probably couldn't stay in his job due to a work related injury. Probably a fall which hurt his back. Work comp of course paid, but not 100% of his salary. He's already stretched thin because his wife wanted the house with the bigger yard . . . which he thought just meant more yardwork, but he gave in. Now with the bad back, his former skills in landscaping aren't helping him find a new job. Plus he's got all that yardwork to do. He often thinks of how nice it'd be watching fireworks from BLT, but then remembers all the walking he'd have to have done during the day, and his back reminds him how much that'd hurt. So having to sell off the DVC membership isn't so bad . . . for now. He hopes to buy in again, when he gets back on his feet, and he hopes BLT isn't sold out. But when he looks on the bright side, cause he's really an optimist, he thinks, well maybe I'll get a great deal on a resale by then. So, its not all bad.

Anyway, thats just my guess at why its up for sale. Who knows?

That's why I bought 100 (2 -50 points) at DL so I could be a founding member.... I plan to sell it too. But I'm waiting to use it once first next Christmas. Borrowed 2010 points and using both for Dec 25-Jan 2. 200 points exactly and then I'm selling it off stripped. I really wanted GCV and was afraid there would be no points. I received a good discount on it too so hopefully I will break even...

Of all the theories, this seems the most plausible to me.

I just got the updated listing from another reseller. There are two 160 pt contracts for BLT and they are listed at $93 per point. I guess that price probably won't pass ROFR, though.
