Saturdays at MK?

Hi all - I've posted for a long time in resorts, restaurants, transportation, DVC, even Universal, but this is my first ever post on the "grandaddy of all" boards.

Here's what I'm wondering - now that neither Saturday nor Sunday is an "extra magic" day at MK, but Friday nights are, has that made the MK any less of a zoo on Saturdays than it used to be?

Obviosuly it will still be a big day for locals and some day guests, but maybe more of the on-property guests are going on other days, driven by the EMH schedule.

We're doing the 5pm Hoop-De-Doo on a Saturday later this month, and we were thinking that maybe we'd head over to MK afterwards to catch the late running of Spectro, along with a couple of attractions.

I think the reason MK has always been busy on Saturday is because of the locals and day guests....

I was hoping that if there are fewer on-property guests at MK that day, that might relieve a bit of the congestion. Maybe we'll do Illuminations that night, instead. Have to wait and see.

Rumor has it that the new ticket system has fewer guests buying hoppers, so many may go to the EMH park and spend the whole day there. So I'm figuring that perhaps some of the on-property guests will have gone to MK on Friday, then spend Saturday at DAK. Well, I can hope, right?

thanks - that's some encouraging news. Maybe I ought to pick up the recent copy of the Unofficial Guide. I'm sure it's changed quite a bit with all the recent changes at WDW. It may take a while to fully digest the impact of the new ticketing system, combined with the new EMH setup.
