:yay: Hello my dear friends, my other computer finally died and had to get a new one. Can't quite figure this new one out but am trying. How has everyone been????? DH had cateract surgery done on his other eye and is doing well. DGS is still home ( he ran away a few weeks ago) and still in school. Although the teachers went on strike today so don't know how long that will last.

Just wanted to let you know that I didn't fall off the face of the earth. Just what does that mean any how??? Shirley

Howdy, Dianne! Glad to have you back! I am glad your DGS is doing better now.

Yes, Tricia, it is a word! It is a Spelling Bee favorite, but I do not know what it means.:confused3

Becca - I am so glad it was strep (can't believe I am saying that, but I started to worry at work this morning that it could be MRSA). Is he responding to the antibiotics? And what do they use for impetigo these days?

Hi Judi and Kimmy - Get busy munching your Alpha Bits! We can't take a chance that they remove them from the shelves again! The educational thread will save the educational cereal!:goodvibes

Good Morning All.

Good morning Sassies! Its supposed to be almost 70 here today, so I'm wearing short sleeves and capris. Brian looked at me like I was nuts this morning. Brendan is feeling much better! He will be staying home at least today since he does seem to be getting headaches still and he hasn't been on antibiotics for 24 hours yet.

Shirley, glad to hear you haven't fallen off the face of the earth.:) I'm also happy to hear your grandson is still in school!

Wilma, I was thinking the same thing yesterday and I know better than to panic, but I did anyway! Especially since he didn't have any normal strep symptoms.:confused3 For Impitigo they prescribed a cream antibiotic, its the same antibiotic they gave him when he had a horrible skin infection that kept spreading. It seems to be working really well after just one day.

Judi, thanks for being a rock for me! I know you have so much to deal with and yet you are always concerned about others. It means a lot.

Tricia, How did the exam go? Please send warmth.:cool2:

Kendall did really well. She got a 98 on the first one and a B on the second. I forgot what the number was but she did really well. Today she has math and science. :scared:

Judi how's mom doing?

Becca it's still in the 80's here. Shorts wearing weather for at least another month.

How's Brendan feeling today? I hope the meds kick in and he recovers fast.

Hi Shirley. It's so good to hear from you. I'm glad your husbands eye surgery went well and that your Grandson is home and in school.

So what kind of computer did you get? I love new toys.

Wilma did you make any interesting words this morning? There goes the no playing with your food theory.

Heather and Angie can you come out and play?

Hi Kimmy

Shannon have you left yet? Enjoy your trip and take lots of pictures to share with us.

So where has Bonnie been lately? :confused3 Come out come out where ever you are. :sail:

Allright, so I'm procrastinating again! I SHOULD be cleaning and finishing up my packing, but... here I am!

Our flight leaves tomorrow at 7:40 am, so I have time, right?:rolleyes1

Becca-- So glad Brendan is feeling better, and that it's not HFM disease. Nasty business! But strep isn't exactly a walk in the park either! Did the Dr. mention whether he'll have to deal w/ impetigo outbreaks for the rest of his life? One of my college roomies had it, and broke out everytime she was sick or stressed out.

Shirley-- Glad to "see" you! Hope your DH's eyes are healing, and it's good to hear that your grandson has been behaving.

Wilma-- Alphabits!!! I love that cereal! And I hope things get less stressful for you. (meaning, I hope you suddenly discover 5 more hours a day!) I can't wait for our trip either. Going to be so much fun.

Tricia-- Nope, haven't left yet, though I definitely should NOT be on the computer right now! I will take lots of pics, though since I am usually the one with the camera, most of them won't be of me! :sad2:

Judi-- found this for you! I'll be kissing babies and making speeches for you all over Cali.

Hi Kimmy! Hope they let you out of work long enough to buy a box of Alphabits! And maybe even long enough to eat some!

Hi Angus, Bonnie, Heather, and lurker/stalkers! Where are all of you???

Hi Sassy Gang!
I didn't fall of the face of the earth either, but maybe there isn't laundry there...:)
Wow, I see there has been lots of sickness among my Sassy Friends -- Hang in there and feel better soon. I hope you all and yours are on the mend.

I am off today to help MrJulie paint a wall mural this afternoon. It kinda is like paint by numbers for me as I have no artistic ability at all. I just want him to get done with it (long story)...

No alphabits here, but I did manage to spell "coo" with my tiny Lender's bagels this morning...

Atlas is registered for private school. It begins at the end of the month and is once a week for 6 weeks. He needs help (or maybe it is me that needs the help) learning not to chew toes. He has discovered how nice it is to sleep on the couch

I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday...

Julie, do they have a class for toe eatin' cats? If we go on the buddy plan, maybe we can get a discount:thumbsup2

Julie how old is Atlas now? I have a feeling he is so much bigger than that adorable picture in your signature.

My first weigh in is tomorrow so I'm trying to drink drink drink my water today. In a while I'll be floating.

Today is my Anniversary. I can't believe that's it's been 19 years already.

Hey Shannon! I love the way you procrastinate, makes me feel better. She didn't mention that he would may have to deal with it forever. I sure hope not, its basically one spot in his nose and thats it. Have a great trip and don't for get to ride Mr. Toad for me, give him a smooch on the cheek too.

Judi already has my and Brian's vote, she has had for months now. She will probably be put on some terror watch list because she gets 2 votes in Michigan.:rotfl2:

If you fall of the end of the earth you land in all the missin socks. That is where they congregate.

Have fun painting the mural, you are much braver than I! I can splatter paint and sponge paint, but I am so not artistic with a paint brush. Unless you would want some stick figures, I can do that!

Ok, I'm caught! Hi everyone! :wave2:

Question: Which of these categories do I fit into? lurker or stalker?

I just mentioned that I loved the family guy reference...that's all.

Squiddy, you were busted lurking? Judi is quite the detective I must say and nothing gets past her. Watch her with both eyes!

I did. I mentioned that I enjoyed her Family Guy reference on "another thread". BUSTED - she's a hag!

Happy Anniversary Tricia! 19 years is great. I hope he gets you something fantastic!

Of course she is a hag! Our resident hagatha is dying and not posting and Judi takes her place nicely. What's new Caroline?

"Little Atlas" is now 6.5 months old! Yes, he is about twice the size of my sig pic and weighs over 40 pounds. But he is still VERY adorable. His face still looks like that pic...

Good luck with the weigh in and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! Enjoy. Go out to dinner and skip the weigh in. ;)

Well nothing much for me. Always soccer every night and weekends with Kate (13 year-old). Judi does do a very nice job - she cracks me up daily! It is 59 degrees today and I am freezing! What ever happened to those cursed hot flashes I had all summer!
