Have a good day Wilma!

Judi, how did you all luck out with one more day? I wish we would have started tomorrow today since they are worn out from the long weekend. We were camping with their cousins.

Use to be we went back in August :confused3 Now the first Wednesday after Labor Day.

No feeding deer at all this year. Gonna hurt some farmers up here.

Is it because they found that disease here now Judi? I'm glad it wasn't a wild deer that had it, but it is hurting the deer/elk farms around here because they can't slaughter or anything until all of the deer have been tested and it takes awhile to get it done. Our economy just keeps getting better doesn't it?

Hi!!! My name is in the title...hooray! Thank you Judi and all my friends. We are all ok here. Have you heard from Tricia....I am going to backtrack and see. I hope she is ok. I don't think the storm was as bad as it could have been. It was really scary watching it come into the Gulf and get so strong.

How is everyone today? I will brb as soon as I look to see what I missed.:wizard:

I see I didn't miss much:sad1: Everyone have a good weekend? I hope Tricia checks in soon. I haven;t seen the news this morning so I am not sure how NOLA did during the storm. Hopefully, she will get to go home soon and finds everything ok. We were breezy yesterday but we didn't get the rain that was forecast. It is supposed to rain today too, but so far the sky is blue.

Hurricane season is from June 1st to November 30th but we don't usually worry about them all 6 months. August and September are the peak of the season so those are the most worrisome months.....also, for the most part, the concern is in the back of your mind until there is an actual storm brewing.

Joey's new favorite book is Mickey and the Beanstalk ( a disney version of Jack and the beanstalk) . He has been walking around the house all morning saying in a deep growling voice "Fee Fi Fo Fumme, I smell a boy and boys are Yummy! I'll roast that boy to fill my tummy":rotfl: I have read it about a million and one times.....and I have to say that I don't really like that story. I don't think it is nice for Mickey to steal the giant's gold, or magic hen, or magic harp and I am a little concerned about how Joey laughs like a fiend when Mickey 'whacks' down the beanstalk (he likes the word whack for some reason)

Heather, glad to hear all is well on your homefront.:thumbsup2 Joey's right, whack is cool sounding.

Yep Becca, entire state under a bait, feeding ban. That deer was brought in from another state. I hate not being able to feed the youngs one this winter.;) We had a spotted fawn in November last year.

Glad your okay Heather! Now we just need an update from Tricia.

Judi, thats really late for a spotted fawn. There is a doe with triplets up at my dads right now. They were out every morning this weekend, we watched them for quite awhile. There are tons of deer out there this year, even more than usual. It should be a good hunting season.

Becca, I hope it is, otherwise, there won't be enough bark on the trees to keep them all alive this winter. You still keeping the twins? Are we free to Christmas shop in GR this year?

I know, I'm hoping for a record deer season. I would rather have them die quickly than starve.

Yep, shop GR all you want. The malls are ready!

Hey, ladies! I survived the first day. We had one kid we had to send home after wailing for 45 minutes, but the rest did fine. Of course, mom of said child is distraught and sure that her child will not get into Harvard if she doesn't attend preschool at age 2.:sad2: Poor mom, poor baby. It's gonna be okay...............

So, there is a deer disease where you are, Judi and Becca? Ours seem to be thriving. They are everywhere! They have reclaimed the yard since Linus's passing. I am sure he's barking at them from heaven.

Heather - I am glad the storm wasn't too bad for you all. My IL's are coming up from Hilton Head this weekend to escape Hanna. Now there is Josephine as well? Sheesh!

Tricia - hope you get back home soon!:grouphug:

Boooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnieeeeee, where aaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeee you? Have the preschoolers eaten you alive? Have they taken over and locked you in a closet? Come up for air, will ya?

Shannon - Are your kids back in school now?

Hi Julie - I am sending virtual doggy treats to Atlas via the internet. I know they are tasty, but don't scarf them all up yourself, you hear?;)

Angie - Who do you want to win Big Brother? I guess I would choose Dan, but part of me roots for Jerry because I always go with the underdog. Speed of lightning, Roar of Thunder, fighting all who steal and plunder, Underdog!

Hi to anyone I missed! See you Sassies later!

Wilma, they found one deer, Kent County, private farm with wasting disease.

Having to monitor the whole state now, plus find where he was bought from.

Happy Wednesday Sassys

Cole is up and ready for school. She says I have about 25 days til the morning battle begins

Toot, are you ok? Please let someone know. Did them kinfolk come snatch you?
Mrs. FOP, still 3 days a week? You have crushed that little girl's hopes & dreams now. Well her Mom's free time anyway.
Tricia & Heather :goodvibes Hope all is good on the home front.

Angie, how's your back doing after a 3 day break from the desk?
Julie, Give Astro a  this morning, poor puppy all alone. Hey just put him on the computer, I'll keep him company.

Shannon, what no beach report?
Shirley, Feeling better, I hope:hippie:

Becca, how were the boys waking up this morning? Did they like :teacher:

Hi to All Reading :3dglasses

Good morning, Ladies! Round two of Preschool is about to begin - my Wed/Fri class begins today. Most will do well, but there are a couple who might not get through the day. Judi, I'm not going to kick the little one out (although it would be a sure way to get the coveted Evil Preschool Teacher of the Year award;) ) but she's probably going to have to ease into it. I'll get the Harvard admissions officer on the phone this afternoon and see if he will look the other way.

Hi Tricia, Bonnie, Becca, Heather, Angie, Julie, Shannon and Sarah! Hi to anyone I missed! Gotta split - the bright shiny faces await!:goodvibes

Good morning! I did NOT want to get up this morning. 4:20 is just too early. :sad2:

Judi~My back is still the same, although I was having some different and kinda scary burning pains this morning. Still 2 more weeks until my first steroid shot. I guess they only have 1 doctor who performs them, so he gets really backed up.

Wilma~I want Dan or Memphis to win BB. I haven't watched last night's episode yet, but I hope Dan wins POV cuz otherwise I think he's going home. I just can't like Jerry-after he was caught "squeezing the Charmin" as T so charmingly put it I lost all respect for him. I mean come on, 5 minutes into the show and he's feeling some young girl's chest?? Plus his Judas comments are ridiculous-IT'S A GAME JERRY!! Do you really think people can get through it without lying at some point??

Becca~how was the boys' first day? Were they still excited to go this morning?

Tricia~hope all is well with you and that you have time to give us an update soon.

Shannon~we need more vacation details-especially any involving alcohol! :teeth:

Bonnie~come back and post some time will ya? How's your class this year?

Julie~I can't believe you had to work Labor Day! What's up with that?

OK-back to work. Hope you all have a great day!

Angie

Like the ticker! Hope those 2 weeks go by quickly for you.

Hey there Sassies! Today wasn't as easy to get the boys moving. It's only the second day yikes! Both boys really enjoyed yesterday though. Justin says its a long day since he isn't used to staying all day yet. He especially loves lunch time because he gets to go with the big kids.

Just a quick drive by for now. I'll check in later!

Hey Sassies!! Sorry I have not been around much. this weekend I was working like a dog getting my classroom ready and then yesterday was the first day of school and it was AWFUL. Totally stressful. Today is much better, I must say. I have a difficult group though, particularly one child who has special needs. She needs her own private teacher, IMO. I have been exhausted! But it will get better, day by day.

Can I say that I love my faux hair? it's this little ring of cool hair that you put around your ponytail. It's not really long, it's just curly and full. When I don't have the energy to flat=iron my hair, I pull it back and slap the faux hair in. Looks excellent! :thumbsup2

So how is everyone doing?
