Hi everyone! Making our first trip to DLR first week of August. According to long range weather forecasts (I know not terribly accurate), looks like temps will be trending upward from where they are now to the high 80s- low 90s.
It will be my husband, daughter and I.
We are staying off site west of walnut.
I know rope drop, back to house to cool off/nap then return for evening is often recommended, but as long time Wdw vets this strategy never really worked for us because we would end up more tired from the break in between. Now that DD is older, we prefer to go late morning/early afternoon and stay till close.
Hubby doesn’t do heat well. He is ok with very low 80s but higher than that is harder for him.
If the forecast holds true, what advice might you have to keep him cool?
Ideas so far:
1. Rope drop, nap, return (may need to to that after all, but last resort)
2. Cooling towel?
3. Hand held mister fan?
4. Do counter service in DLR offer free ice water?
Appreciate any other tips and tricks!!
