I think part of the issues for me yesterday was that I have precut boards in the garage. It feels like I am supposed to use them, so when I choose not to it feels wrong somehow. If the boards were not in my garage, there would have been no choice involved, because I couldn't have gone out to buy boards alone (not to mention the fact that I cannot afford to buy them right now). I think I seriously have a touch of OCD because I thought about those stupid boards all dadgum day!!!

Yes, I am crazy, but it is part of my charm and I hope ya'll like me anyway

I had a blast watching volleyball camp yesterday. Now I am back at work and the network is working against me!!!! Hopefully I can get enough done so that I can go back to volleyball camp tomorrow.

PSA for today, if you are sitting on the edge of the bathtub you should not be lifting your feet to yourself to apply lotion. It makes balancing precarious at best and it hurts to fall into the bathtub while hitting your cranium. Also, big toes apparently don't need the whole nail, half will do.

Oh, Becca!!! If you don't have any, try Aquaphor by Eucerin. It is wonderful healing ointment. We got some from our dermatologist.

Ouch Becca. I hope you're feeling a little better now. Well, all the kids got their shots today. As I was typing that it sounds like they are dogs. We made a quick trip to Sam's on the way home. I had to stock up on school snacks. Let's see, we got little packs of goldfish, baked potato chip assortment, Mrs. Field's cookies and granolia bars. That ought to last a couple of weeks anyway.

Heather I'm glad to hear that the worst of the storm won't be coming by you. Did you lose any power today?

Julie, I love Aquaphor! Brendan has horribley dry skin in the winter and it's the onlly think that makes it better. I didn't even think of that.

Tricia, do they go back this week? I need to start getting the school snacks too. I like to get them a few at a time. I have 2 lunches to make this year and that makes me sad.

Heather, how is the storm? Do you still have power or maybe thats why you aren't answering us.

The only part that still hurts is my toenail. I hope it grows back mostly before Disney, my friend was going to paint Mickey heads on them and it won't look right on half a toenail. My head is hard enough that there was no damage done.

Did I tell you all that last weekend while we were camping Brian fell off an 8' stepladder while holding a chainsaw and a several hundred pound limb fell with him? He didn't even get hurt a bit, he was a little stiff was all. So I am not the only klutz in the family.

Why make them go back on a Friday? That seems kind of silly to me, let them have one last weekend of summer break!

The boys and Brian had haircuts on Sunday. Our monthly haircut party. I go in on Thursday to be cut, colored and waxed!

I was surprised he was okay, it happened in slow motion, but I couldn't do a thing about it. Justin was standing with me and he said "oooo look at Daddy". He thought he was doing it on purpose. Brian is usually a wimp so I'm really surprised he got up so quick claiming he was okay.

Hi Sassies

We haven't lost power, but I have been playing with the kiddos. Mainly it has been a wet and breezy day. When I pulled up a map of the winds we are on the edge of the storm I don't think we have had any wind gusts over 40 mph.

I've been watching the trees sway. I think we are going to have to do some tree trimming in the very near future.

Scott said he is second on the call list so he will be coming home tonight.


Tricia~~ I can't believe school is starting so soon. Kate only has a couple of weeks of summer left. I need to start thinking about school clothes.

Whatever, gimpy! Yesterday when we were riding the metro I was thinking about riding the el and our conversation with the anime peeps. Good times, man! That was a great weekend! We need to do it again soon!

Ouch Becca!! All this foot talk has caused a Ped-Egg ad at the bottom of the page now! Has anybody tried one of those? Didn't you get one Bex? Do they work?? Thank God Brian wasn't hurt! I would've freaked out if I saw that happen, especially with a chainsaw! I type Brain instead of Brian all the time! I've finished with Bella's first section of Breaking Dawn and am now in the middle of Jacob's part when they get home. I'm not liking Bella's situation right now. I hope something good comes from this!

Heather~how's the storm? Hope you're not floating away!

Julie~I think that's totally hilarious that Atlas ate one of your library books! How apropos! Why do puppies like books so much? Maybe they're trying to tell us that they want to learn to read?? Of course, they love to chew shoes, too, so does that mean they really want to wear shoes?

Judi~I'll take a margarita on the rocks no salt please with Becca's Cuervo Gold. I went to a restaurant in Vegas once and ordered a margarita with Cuervo Gold and was told rather haughtily by the waiter that Cuervo was their HOUSE tequila, and could he maybe suggest a finer quality brand? I think he just wanted to sell me a $20 margarita! I stuck with the Cuervo.

Tricia~the kids here start back on a Friday, too. It just seems so weird. I guess they're trying to ease them back into it??

Bonnie~hey hagaroni! How's Breaking Dawn coming? Now that you're mom is back you probably won't have much time to read. When is she leaving-did you say the 9th? What are you guys gonna do this week?

The results of my MRI are in: I have 2 bulging discs (L4 and L5). The only thing I know is that bulging is better than ruptured or herniated. I go to the orthopedic surgeon next Thursday so I'll get more info then. I'm just bummed-my choices will probably be surgery, which I can't do right now because I can't afford to be off work for that long, or try and suffer through somehow. Maybe a steroid shot? I don't know if that helps bulging dics. And if they won't give me paid meds I'm not sure what I'll do. That was cheery, huh? Just call me the DIS dementor sucking all the happiness out of here!
