Remember Wham? Careless Whisper is on the radio right now. I have not thought about that song in a looooong time. Reminds me of good times in high school though.

My mom is back at my house again until Friday. She had a good time with her sister. Last night Branson (my brother) took my mom, her DH Keith and I to Famous Dave's. We talked and laughed so stinkin' hard. I love that about family, that even though you might not have been together for two years, when you do see each other it's like you were never apart.

I think today we are going to go to the Marine Corps. museum at Quantico. But first Ainslee has an ortho appt. at 10:15.

Angie, I'm so sorry that you have limited options about your bulging discs. It sounds so Quasimoto. Dh hasn't had any luck finding a job yet? I hope they can keep you pain free until you can have the surgery.

Judi, do you think I can stay balanced on a toilet? I think I need a chair, I'm not like a weeble, I wobble and then fall down. I'm going red tomorrow I think at least. I have no idea till I get there!

Bonnie, glad you are having a great time with you mom. Its great that you feel like you haven't been apart for 2 years!

Heather, glad the storm was manageable and that Scott will be home soon!

Tricia, I got out of Sam's Club for less than $100 last night! I didn't get many things though, I just didn't feel like shopping. I guess thats the key to spending less than $200 bucks there.

I actually slept until 7:45 this morning. I think that might be the latest I've slept all summer. Maybe it's because I took two Tylenol PM's last night. Whatever, it sure felt good.

Good morning Sassies! I have returned from the Land of Water and Crowds. I know, I know, what did I expect? The lines were long, though, so we didn't do a lot of slides but we still had fun. We stopped at Olive Garden on the way home - man, I am not used to paying for Barney to have an adult meal! It's like having a date!

Bonnie - I know what you mean about family. I really enjoy mine, especially my sister. We don't see each other nearly as much as we used to (even though we live in the same town) but things never change between us. And, we always laugh until I am close to peeing my pants. She's the greatest! We have an ortho appointment today too - I am afraid he's going to lower the boom and say we need to start with the braces instead of just pulling teeth. I suppose, at some point, he will run out of teeth to pull.

Angie - you poor thing. Back pain sucks!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you talked to him about the steroid shots? It seems to me (physiologically) that that might be an option. Can DH take a part time position until you can get back on your feet?

Judi - I like Hunk Day! Sounds much better than Hump Day. How often do they want you to be on call?

Julie - Tell Atlas that if he keeps eating library books, the Library Police will come after him. Hasn't he ever seen Seinfeld?

Heather - We're thinking about you all in the storm - glad your DH can come home early!

Becca - man, we are going to get you one of those plastic bubbles if you can't stop injuring yourself. Maybe we should get one for your DH too. Then you can be Bubble People, and you could be on the front page of the Enquirer! Notoriety at it's finest!

Good morning.

Scott got to come home yesterday and even made it in time for dinner I made a cake yesterday and he said it was the best cake ever....speaking of that cake I think I am going to have a piece for breakfast.


Jasmine is acting like a nut today. She didn't want to get her feet wet yesterday so I kept having to force her in the grass to do her business....now I think hse is crazy and hyper from being mostly cooped up in the house most of yesterday.

How's the toe today, Becca? I usually sit on my bed to do the lotion thing cuz I tend to wobble too and I like to lotion my feet but then I don't want them to touch the ground until the lotion is all soaked in

Angie....I wouldn't think the doctor would give you a hard time about getting pain meds when you obviously have a problem. This is a mixed up world when drug seekers can get pain meds and people like yourself with real problems can't

I have the opposite problem with gift cards - I forget about mine. In fact, I have two spa gift certificates that will expire soon and I am going to have to go in an use them to buy more gift certificates so that they won't expire!

Julie......Atlas isn't the only dog eating rogue around. Jasmine has also shredded a book recently. I was feeling kinda bad about it too until you said Atlas chewed one too. I figure if it can happen to a librarian, it can happen to anyone

Jasmine has also started waking me up in the middle of the night. I htink she just wants to get in my bed instead of her own....which isn't going to happen. Scott is a big enough bed hog, I don't need another. She is about to end up in the doghouse


Do you have alot of books? I have alot of books but they are not very organized.......I was thinking of trying to put them in some sort of order similiar to what they do at the library.

Would he like a playmate for the day? Speck hates it when the boys go into the field behind the house since his invisible fence prohibits him from joining them. He paces the back of the yard till they come back, he has to keep tabs on them all the time!
