Joey just asked me for some juice so I got a cup and poured in jsut enough juice to cover the bottom. You should ahve seen his face when he looked in the cup and only had a teensy tiny little bit:lmao: He looked in the cup and looked and me and sighed and said "No mommy....I want big juice!":rotfl:

I started laughing so he started laughing as I put the usual amount in his cup.

It was way funnier in real life than it looks written here:rotfl2:

Back from the dr, got my B12 shot -- hopefully lots of energy will be forthcoming....

I am now off to volleyball camp for the rest of the day. I hope to be back soon.

Take care and have a groovy day everyone!!!!

Hey Sassies! How's everyone this Monday? It is cloudy and humid today. We had a big thunderstorm come through last night and wake us up. But it's all good cuz they're so rare hear that we love the thunder and lightning! Or is it lightening??

Anywho, we had a great time on Friday with my aunt. My mom, aunt, cousin and I all went up to the mountains for a picnic. We stopped off at a farm and picked some tomatoes! I was psyched! I HATE grocery store tomatoes, and it's too hot here to grow them in the summer. So, I was totally stoked to find some yummy homegrown tomatoes! Unfortunately the farm is like an hour and a half away, so I won't get up there too often. And with the price of gas they would end up being like $20 per pound!! They were also picking wild raspberries up in the mountains. We didn't pick any cuz we didn't really have the time or anything to put them in, but I'm sure they would've been delish!

I have Breaking Dawn in my hot pudgy little fingers, but I'm at work so I can't read it! :sad1: So no hints Bonnie and Becca!

Judi~I think going back to work even 1 day a week would be great for you!! It'll help take your mind off things! Glad you had fun at the casino. I used to work for a tribe here that owned a little tiny casino. It was so popular that now they've torn down the original little building and it's now a big beautiful brand new casino. Those Indian taxes paid my salary at one time!!

I'd better get back to work! See ya' later! :lovestruc

Julie, since you have so much extra energy now can you come and clean my house for me?

Angie, I'm glad to hear you didn't get eaten by a mountain lion. I worry about these things you know and there is no Edward Cullen around to save you in Arizona since it is so sunny. I'm not saying a word about Breaking Dawn until you and Bonnie finish it. I'm going to keep it all to myself regardless of the bubble that is about to break inside of me.

Good afternoon, Sassies! Do any of you remember Dino's girlfriend, Sassy? She had her own tv show and he loved her until she took her wig off and she looked a mess. Then, it was all over. Men are so fickle!:snooty:

Angie - I am glad you had fun! I am right there with you on the tomato score. Those grocery store things are only good for paperweights. Gotta grow your own, I say!

Julie - Barney is a big Diary of a Wimpy Kid fan! He has the original and the sequel. I was skeptical but the librarian (who is a rather prim person, I think) said it was really quite funny. Maverick will like them, at least as much as Atlas does!

Judi - A few years ago, DH and I lost a good friend to pancreatic cancer. When it spread to the brain her personality changed like you would not believe and it was heartbreaking. You had to go back in your mind daily to the person she had been because she was so difficult at the end. I hope that is not what's happening, and I am proud of you for taking a positive step in restoring your life and your own mental health. We love you, lady!

Hi Becca and Heather! These are for you!

Hey girls! Went to the pool and I got FRIED! i used sunblock, but it washed off and I forgot to reapply. :( Oh well, it'll be a tan in a couple days, but for now, it's that aloe vera with lidocaine!! I love that stuff! I also got to dive into Breaking Dawn, finally! I didn't get very far though. So far, so good.

Angie, your weekend sounds like a lot of fun, girl! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.

Bex, just a day or two more, lady! Then you can yak it up with us! Or you can call my DD and discuss it with her, she is in a dither waiting for me to finish. Her friends have not finished either.

Wilma, I have to drive to Richmond tomorrow to pick up my mom. Her sister, who lives in Norfolk is driving my mom to meet me half way (which is not Richmond, but I'm not really sure where it is, so for now I'm calling it Richmond). I'll wave at ya when I see the signs for Charlottesville! :yay:

Howdy Judi, Julie, Heather, et al. :wave2:

Good evening

Well, I have a job, but I don't have a job. Don't ask me.

I've always kept my bartending certification up to date, so guess what I'll be doing til I figure out if I have a job. In Michigan, any restaurant or liquor est. that has sold in the last 5 years, has to have one of me on the grounds.:wizard:

Welcome to small towns and so called LOA.:rolleyes1

Hey Mrs. FoP, where's my ice cream:confused3
Toot, Sunscreen always please! Cancer sucks.

Judi, these are yours, my friend. I had to wait for the second ice cream truck to come around with your special delivery.:goodvibes Can you make me a good Cosmopolitan tonight? The Federal court system wants me for jury duty, I have to go to the DMV and renew my license, and the world in general is getting on my nerves. I could use some ETOH, for medicinal purposes, don'tcha know.;)

Bonnie - I shall wave to you from Richmond as I pass through on the way to Williamsburg. The boys have talked me into taking them to Water Country for a day of splash and dash. Have fun on your scenic 95 drive!

Thanks for the ice cream. I'll add the banana.

Hi Ya'll.......I was going to board up my windows but the boards need to be trimmed and i , naturally, don't have a saw of any kind! Ug!

There are only a handful of houses being boarded up and none of those are my immediate neighbors. The folks next door did come over and offer to help me and said if we got scared or wanted company tomorrow we were all welcome to go to their house next door. They know Scott is having to work. It was so nice for them to offer and made me feel alot better.

I am sure everything will be fine.....I will just be glad when it is over. I sure hope we don't lose power for very long....Becca....want to loan me your generator?

Honey calm down and get some rest. :cloud9: You know God is watching over you. :grouphug:

I thinking about you Heather. I did see the 6 O'clock news and it's still just a tropical storm. I know this must be scary without having Scott with you but I really feel that it won't be that bad. At least that's what the weather guy said. Hang in there my friend.

Judi :thumbsup2 on your new job. It sounds like it will be fun. Do you get to make many drinks with little umbrella's in them? If you do think of me. :teeth:

Thanks my friends. I am sure we will be fine. I don't think it will be that bad either but it is still a little strange to be here without Scott. My neighbors have been wonderful and that makes me feel better and not quite so alone.

I think I am going to go to bed now and try to rest. I am sure tomorrow is going to feel like a long day.

I will hopefully still be able to post in the morning, but if not I will post as soon as I can.

I promise I am not freaking out or panicked at all...just concerned a little about what is going to happen (which I think is pretty normal). I know I have made all the preparations I can right now and I do feel confident that I can handle anything that might happen tomorrow.

I have plenty of soda and the Nintendos are all charged...what else is there?:lmao:

:grouphug: Goodnight! I will post as soon as I can.

PS>...Becca~~ they mentioned Kzoo on the weather channel......are ya'll getting bad weather too? I know they were also talking about strong storms in Chicago. I hope ya'll are doing ok too. I will say a prayer for everyone tonight.

Good morning Sassies!

Judi, I'll take a margarita with the rim salted. Make it Cuervo Gold though none of that cheap tequila.

Bonnie, have a nice drive today. Something is backwards though, isn't the mom supposed to be picking up the kid?:confused3

Heather, of course you can borrow the generator. I just don't know how I'm going to get it to you.:) We had some really nasty storms moving toward us last night, but they veered just south of us. I guess we finally caught a break. I'll be thinking about you today.

Good morning sassies.

Becca do you all have to use the generator much in the summer time?

Today is Mark's Birthday. Yesterday I made him a pound cake (his choice). He doesn't really care for icing too much on cakes and he loves a good pound cake. I made one with mini chocolate chips in it. I know I made it a day early but today the kids have a Dr. appointment this morning and we are all getting hair cuts this afternoon. I wasn't sure if I have time today so I made while I could. Boy was hard seeing a cake sitting on my counter and not being able to cut it.

Heather I'm thinking about you this morning.

Mark!

Tricia, pound cake sounds really good to me right now! It depends on the weather and if someone decides to plow into a power pole how much we need the generator. Our power lines are all underground, but the lines coming in from the main road aren't.

Good Morning.

Well, it looks like the Houston/Galveston area has dodged another bullet and the worst of the storm is to the northeast of us. We will stil have winds in the 40s and 50s and lots of rain. Flooding is a concern for later....I don't think myhouse will flood but I know the street will (which is no big deal since I am not going anywhere anyway;))

I know what I need to do now to board up my house for the next storm. We are going to trim the boards so they fit. (My house came with pre-cut boards for all the windows and Plylox clips, but we have never had to use them) The little clips make it super easy to board up....as long as the boards are cut correctly.

My neighbors husband is not physically fit enough to board up their entire house (they ahve the same floorplan as myhouse) and she and I are going to team up to do our houses should we ever need to. She is going to make sure her boards are the right sizes too. I think she was as relieved as I was to find someone willing and able to help. Scott will most likely have to work through any storms.

I wonder how many of the people who live northeast of me are surprised by this storm? I hope everyone there prepared.

I am going to cook a hot breakfast for us. I am still anticipating the power to go out alter on, at least for a little while.

I wil try to check in later. Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers.:grouphug:

Heather, glad to read all is well. Anything a man can do, you ladies can do better :thumbsup2
