Hi Judi! Zots are so yummy, I totally stocked up when I was at Cracker Barrel.

How often do you go to Casinos, lady? I am from Vegas and I usually avoided them when I could. But there were a lot of restaurants we liked that were inside casinos, and our favorite movie theater was inside a casino too! So we couldn't always steer clear of them!

Bonnie which one has the movie theater?

I think casinos recognize newbies and give them big winnings so they will come back and get fleeced later:lmao: The casinos know that will easilymake 100 times their money back when the newbies are addicted and have to come back again and again...and again.....lol:lmao:

Good Morning Tricia

Free food is always good.

Mr. Judi doesn't really care for casinos, but he takes me anyway. ;) Up here they give you game credits. I think this month is $7 free slot play at Little River casino. It only takes us $20 in gas to get there. What is wrong with this picture:rolleyes1

Same here Judi. The casino is about 45 minutes to an hour away. I look at it as an outing. Purely entertainment.

I see it the same way. There's not much up here to do, so it's my way of getting out. A big plus is you don't know anyone there, so I don't have to answer a lot of work questions while I'm out. :)

You live in a small town, your job follows you, even out of work. Even on leave of absence.

I am going to see my boss today, and go back at least 1 day a week. Might save my sanity.:upsidedow

The Texas Station, baby! It was close to my house and DH helped design it!

The Orleans has a theater too, and so does the Palms.

Judi, I think going back to work would be good for you. Any chance your mom will move back with you?

:lmao: I think you are right, Heather!

Good morning, Sassies! What is up? Since the topic of the day seems to be casinos, I shall weigh in. The only ones I have been too are in Atlantic City and Puerto Rico, but I am not much of a gambler. Mr. FofP likes to play Black Jack but I usually just watch. The last time I went, the smokiness of the casino sent me into an asthma attack so I have not been back. I hear there are smokeless ones now? Anyway, I usually don't do the slots because I have never been successful at them and I end up feeling dumb, like some woman standing at a soda machine dropping in coin after coin, hoping the thing will deign to deliver a soda.

Today's agenda is full of delights, such as a dentist appointment for BamBam and a tetanus booster shot for Barney. What fun!

Judi - I think going back to work some would be a good idea!:thumbsup2

Bonnie- when does preschool resume for you? Have you made any interesting lesson plans that I can steal and adapt?

Heather - good luck with the storm! Do you have supplies on hand?

Tricia - I hear you on the ortho thing. Barney has an appointment on Wednesday and I think they are going to suggest we begin the braces (up to now they have just been pulling teeth and waiting). I dread having to work in those appointments with school, swim practice and play rehearsals!:headache:

Hi Becca, Sarah, Kimmy, Julie and Angie! How were your weekends?

Hi Wilma!

We have some basic supplies onhand. This time a year we try to keep the basics in stock so I don't have to brave the grocery store when something like this happens. It can be pretty crazy! The current report says it should stay a tropical storm and not become a hurricane. As it gets closer to Galveston the water gets warmer so we shall have to just wait and see.

I haven't boarded up the windows yet....I am not looking forward to doing it alone. We haven't ever had to do it so I am not completely sure how hard it will be. I am kinda waiting to see what the neighbors are going to do.:confused3

Good luck at the dentist and the doctor.....neither sounds like fun:headache:

Good morning Chatty Sassies! Its going to storm here any moment, but nothing like what you are facing Heather! I hope it isn't bad, but it sounds like you are prepared.

Judi, I think going back to work will be good for you too.

Bonnie, hurry up and read it so I have someone to discuss it with. I'm keeping my opinion a secret until you are done with it.

Tricia, have you ever gone to Tunica to gamble? My dad stops there on his way to and from Arizona every year.

Wilma, have fun with the dr and dentist fun times!

My neighbor climbed onto the top of his camper last night to fix a leak after he climbed up the ladder fell so he was stuck. A storm started to roll in shortly after so he was hollering for anyone to come pick up his ladder. Of course no one could hear him since we all had our air on and our houses all closed up. His wife had gone to sleep so she didn't realize he was gone longer than he should have been. Brian forgot he left something outside so he ran out to get it in before the storm hit and the neighbor started shouting his name to help him. It was quite humorous if you ask me.:rotfl2:

:lmao: Thank goodness Brian went outside or your neighbor would have been in for a long night!

Toot, don't think so.

Small town, this is what she is telling her friends " I just want to get in my car and forget about my kids" "Since when did Judi think she bacame my parent" "All she ever does is yell at me"
Don't think I need to say anymore.

So, I don't think living here is a good option for her. So, I did what I thought was right and now it's time for my family to get back to their normal routine.

People didn't tell me any of this to hurt me, hell if they believed it APS would have already been at my door. I was told because they thought it would help me move on with the work decision, putting my house back together and such. And even though it has hurt, it has helped me deal.:)

Hi Sassies!!!

Sorry to have been away so long! I had to go back 10 pages to catch up!! :)
The motorcycle show (last weekend of July) was a success for MrJulie as he pinstriped 15 bikes and 3 helmets. Thanks for all the positive thoughts on that. Atlas didn't go for any more unattended walks and he got lots of human attention. At times I think he got tired of people wanting to touch him.

The new camper/trailer was WONDERFUL!!!
Angie, you asked what kind it is -- It is a travel trailer, 27', Wolf Pack by Forest River. It is a toy hauler and the back drops down. It has everything we need.

When we got back from that weekend, I was sick and exhausted for several days. It turns out I have a B12 deficiency and am going to the dr shortly to discuss that and probably start getting B12 shots.

So that pretty much sums up where I have been the last week....

But I have to say how happy I am that I got my kitchen table completely cleaned off yesterday!!!!! :cool1: And it did take all day!!!!

Have any of you or your kids read "Diary of a Wimpy Kid"???? We had just got it in our library and I got first dibs and brought it home for us to read. It is REALLY good and funny, although I am hoping Maverick doesn't learn anything he doesn't need to.... Apparently, Atlas thinks it is a REALLY good book too, as I found him chewing it on the living room floor!!!!! Imagine my librarian horror!!!!!!! I have ordered the replacement and now have to explain it to my cohorts.... :dog2:

Becca, makes me miss having neighbors. They are always good for a laugh.

Julie, Atlas is too cute to do anything wrong.;)

Hi Judi!

Sorry to hear about the difficulties with your Mom. I am glad that you are trying to get things back together for your family -- I know it certainly isn't easy. Loving people sure can hurt....

Yeah, Atlas is too cute... I am sure he was just trying to see what was so good about that book anyway.... :rotfl:

I have to run to my 9:30 appt. Good thing it is a mile down the road....

 Julie

Didn't mean to scare ya'll off. I've known for a bit. My poor brother isn't even there, not that that's new, but he's doing carp to her this weekend.

Ya'll need to understand, this form of cancer travels up quite often. Lungs, brain. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

 Judi, I understand all too well.:sad1: If you need anything just call.
