Bon jour! How is everyone today? I slept really good last night, but still didn't want to get up at 4:20 when the alarm went off. It's just not normal to get up at that time!!

Judi~I hope you have fun this weekend! I went to Mackinac Island when I was really little. I just remember riding bikes around. I've always wanted to go back there.

Bonnie~just the girls for 5 days?? Partay!!! I'll bring the booze-what time should I be there? And are you gonna have some good snacks?

Wilma~we've always said we should collect dog fur and make something with it. We could make sweaters for everyone in America with the amount of fur my dogs have been shedding lately. I wonder if you really could do something with it?? I guess you'd have to take it somewhere and have it made into some kind of yarn?

Becca~I haven't heard that song, but alas I am not a big Kid Rock fan. Although I did like that duet he did with Cheryl Crow a few years ago. Is Kid from Detroit?

Julie~I hope you have more pinstriping business than you can handle!! Thank goodness someone found Atlas and brought him back safe and sound.

I shall be reading all weekend. I finally got Eclipse from the library, but I'm in the middle of another book I need to finish first. And of course it's Friday so I may partake in an adult beverage or 2 tonight!

Would you guys think I was a kook if I went to Lenscrafters and had them switch out the prescription lenses on my glasses and put in clear lenses? My glasses are really hurting my eyes so I never want to wear them, but I love the look of them, so I don't want to give them up all together. Whatchu think? Kook? :

Angie - There is actually a lady here who makes yarn from dog hair. Truly, Virginia can be a freaky place. So, perhaps this is a business idea for both of us! We can go into business making doggy hair mittens for all of our friends.

Bonnie, you are a style maven with or without glasses. But, the glasses do give you a certain air of glamorousness, to be sure. I say replace away!

Thanks hags, glad you agree, because I already went and had the lenses changed! Ahhhhh! It feels so much better!

We shopped around the mall while we waited for Lenscrafters to do their thing. I let the girls go to Limited too and KB Toys to look for webkinz and I went and got myself a top from Torrid. A man approached me and complimented me! He said, "Your hair is BEAUTIFUL!! And YOU look really nice too". Can I say that with the way I have been feeling lately that really made my day! Then we had lunch at Cheeseburger in Paradise.

Hey Sassy-Pantses... That is hard to make plural!

Just a quick post from the fairgrounds... The first day was good. MrJulie did 7 bikes, so that was a good first day. Tomorrow "should" be busy since it is Saturday, so keep thinking of us. Our first night "camping" was good too, even Atlas did well (no roaming by himself today!) He is passed out in the grass at my feet right now. I did pot roast in the crock pot today and it was really nice at 7:30 tonight. Mav is playing with some kids from a booth nearby.

Hey Bonnie -- Congrats on your compliment-filled mall trip!!!!

Wilma, Atlas says to tell you he found biker chicks, some doo-rags, old cigarette butts, and a nice lady that brought him back to save the boys from a mad Mommy (me). He says he was looking for me but didn't know where Wal-mart was.

Angie, glad to hear you slept good until you were interrupted by the alarm!! Good luck with your MRI...keep us posted.

Judi -- Have a great weekend... when you get back, let me know what things you said in your sleep, whether they were my fault or not, they are funny! Soon it will cost $100 to fill a Harley!!

Happy Saturday, crazy hags!

How are you girls today? Last night my brother took me to the movie on base. They were showing Iron Man. It was the second time each of us had seen it but we like it so it was still a good time.



Now I'm thinking I want a second pair of glasses, colored frames though. What do you guys think of these?

Angie and Wilma, it was fun to chat last yesterday! Sorry I had to leave, I had a phone call and then my brother popped over to see if I wanted to go to the movie. let's do it again soon!

Good morning, hagathas! What's up? Bonnie, those frames are snazzy!!!!!!!!! A stylish choice, indeed - and I think the red will go well with your skin tone. Go for it!

Julie - Atlas needs a map so that he can find Walmart. All dogs should come with map pockets, but if he did not perhaps he can carry some sort of doggy backpack with his necessary supplies inside. Or, even better, he can carry a GPS! We'd hate to have the little cutie wander into a nest of grumpy poodles, wouldn't we?

Barney has his last championship meet today and then we are done with swimming for all of August! Our team has swum particularly poorly this meet, so I hope it gets better or it's going to be a depressing banquet this evening! Oh well!

Good morning to all you sassy ladies out there.

We got home from vacation about 5:00 yesterday. We really had a great time. I should have gotten dizzy from going round and round in the lazy river but I didn't. Here is a picture from one of the places we ate at on the Bay. Kelsie is the blonde in the back and the girl next to her is her friend (they are connected at the hip). I had a fabulous crabcake sandwich here. They had huge fish hanging from the ceilings and it was right outside of a marina so you could see all the nice yachts and dream of how the rich people live.

Judi I'm glad that you are finally getting away for the weekend. You deserve it my friend.

Sarah it was nice to see you stop by. Come back when you can.

Bonnie you should take up my hobby...........shopping. Oh and I love the glasses.

Becca enjoy camping this weekend.

I slept for over 9 hours last night!!! Guess I was a little tired.

Julie~glad the show is going well. What kind of camper did you get (5th wheel, travel trailer, tent camper)?? We LOVE campers; we'd like to get a tent camper cuz it's light enough to pull with our current vehicle. Plus you can get an "offroad" version so we could take it on some 4-wheel drive trails. DH likes to camp in very remote places.

Tricia~WELCOME BACK!!! Glad you had a good time! It's been really quiet around here since you've been gone.

DH is going to play poker in a tournament he won entry to, so I get the house to myself today!!

Whaddya mean, no one has posted since yesterday morning?! Did I kill the thread?

Shannon and I just returned from seeing Mama Mia (Heather went too). We loved it!! I laughed, I cried...it was better than Cats! I wanna see it again!

DH is in NYC. He keeps calling and texting. I think he's trying to rub it in. Not really, he went with a coworker and the coworker keeps ditching him. the coworker is from NYC so he keeps going off to see family and friends and DH is spending a lot more time by himself than he bargained for. I am the type that would enjoy the solitude but he much prefers to be with people. I feel kinda bad for him.
