Ms. Bonnie Wonnie~I vote for the tacos-that's what we're having!! It's too hot here for chili. No fun sweltering over a steaming bowl of chili and your sweat dripping off your face into your food!

Tricia~you probably have the same problem we have here; the heat really zaps car batteries and they die much quicker. Problem is you never know when they're gonna go!

Heather~any news on the job??

Wilma~I don't know how you keep up with Barney's swimming schedule! And that's a total rip-off that you don't get to eat breakfast!! I'd at least have to swipe a piece of bacon!

Julie~I hope Atlas learns to sleep in! My dogs never did. My DH takes them running out in the desert 3 days a week, and he has to go very early before it gets too hot. So every morning they're up bright and early hoping that they get to go running. If you so much as roll over in bed after 4:00 am they bounce up and stick their noses in your face!

Judi~I have no advice just prayers and a shoulder to lean on if and when you need it. You really need a vacation! Any chance someone in the family would watch mom and let you get away for a weekend this summer?

Becca~sorry you haven't been feeling well! You gotta get over it for Chicago next week hag!! One of these days we'll finally get it together and be on MSN at the same time again.

Hey Julie & Toot. Make chili, eat more beans. I make at least once a week, after the doctor visit yesterday, Cole found out why. No I don't make her eat it all the time.

Julie, thanks tonight will be english beef w/ yorkshire pudding. Very light on the pudding. They have some great recipes there. In one you even use instant coffee.

Good afternoon Sassies.

No job news yet. The waiting is killing me. I feel mostly confident he will get it but we really needed him to be able to start sooner rather than later.

I am so beyond sad about the meet. I am sure youa re tired of me whining about it, but I just want to cry that ya'll have ressies and I can't be on them now. I keep hoping that things will turn around here and I will be able to manage to go.

I hope everyone is having a great day.....I'm off to do some backtracking to see what I missed.

I choose tacos too, thats what we are having! The boys are going fishing so I need something they can eat quick. Maybe they will catch my cell phone. Or at least the fish that ate my phone, now that would be a fish tale to tell. Its so nice here today, I love this weather and it can last all summer, I don't need 80s or 90s.

I took the girls (Kate and my niece) to VBS again today. Joey was not pleased. He asked if he could stay too please. He said it in such a sweet little voice that I felt really bad about not being able to leave him. He isn't old enough until next year. I had to take him to CEC to ease his pain and my guilt.

So DH took the girls to their orthodontist consultation while I was at work. Caitlin's othodontia is gonna be $5,500. Heather is at camp, so she has not had her consultation, but I'm sure hers will be a similar amount. $11,000!!! Bloody hell! Ainslee is getting some baby teeth pulled, and some spacers put in and that'll do her for now, but when she is eleven-ish, she'll need braces too.

We went to lunch at Famous Dave's and then we went to Target to get some shovels and pails and sunscreen and stuff. Cause early tomorrow we are skiving off work and heading to Virginia Beach! We are just spending one night and coming back tomorrow, cause Heather is coming home from camp tomorrow. It was just a spur of the moment trip, cause Dh has to go to Newport News tomorrow for a meeting, so he invited us to go along with him. Fine by us, we have not been to the beach in like five years, and we have never been to one on the East coast.

$11,000!!!!!!!! You're gonna have to swear off Chatter meets and put all that money towards braces!! The beach sounds fab! Even if it is only for one night it's better than nothing! DH and I keep saying we need to try and do a weekend getaway. But we're trying to save what little $$ we have for WDW. I tried to talk him into a cruise instead, but he has his heart set on Disney. My husband is obsessed with WDW!!!

Becca~get your new phone! Aren't you going through withdrawals not having one??

Heather~Feb is a long way off. You may still get to go! We're trying to convince Judi to go, too. What's VBS?

Vacation Bible School

Bonnie, they let me make payments on Cole's braces. So she's only costing $133 month. No interest. It was $1000 down though.

Hi Angus! It's fun that your DH likes WDW! Mine does too, but he hates the expense! How is your day going? Are you going swimming when you get home?

Just booked our Va. Beach hotel. It's so expensive to stay close to the water,we are staying a ways away and just driving from the hotel to the beach.

Yeah, we have to put $1,000 down and then they will automatically take $200 a month from our bank account. JUST FOR CAITLIN. We have not gotten the damage for Heather yet, but I am sure it will be similar. How long has Cole had her braces? Are you seeing big improvement yet?

She had the uppers put on April 17, 2007 and the lowers in June. In 3 weeks you could see a giant change. She's done so well, they may come off in 4 months. 6 months quicker than they thought.

Bonnie, it's a bite but well worth it.

Bonnie, that sounds like lots of fun! We go to Lake Michigan several times each summer, but its only half an hour from home. We love it and no icky salt water or biting things to worry about. Have a great time and make a sand chair for me! I have 2 that will need braces too and I'm not looking forward to it, but I may have a connection when the time comes. I'm looking into it now.

Angie, VBS is vacation bible school I do believe. At least it is here. They are everywhere this summer! The boys go to the one at Brian's parents church but it isn't until August sometime.

Angie - Mr. FofP should meet Mr. Angie! They could probably talk Disney for hours.

Heather - Our VBS is not until August. Does Katelyn like it? I don't think Barney is going to go this year as he is going to his sleepaway camp that week. But BamBam is a great candidate. Poor Joey - it's hard to be the little one left behind.

Bonnie, Lake Michigan has beautiful sandy beaches just like the oceans. Soft sand that squishes between your toes and is perfect for sandcastle construction. I hope you have a great time!

I know Lola is not dependable for me. Although she did get me to and from Chicago with no trouble. She just didn't want us to eat at that greasey restaurant. She has something against Chicago Style hotdogs. I think she is jealous!

VBS is vacation bible school. Katelyn likes it, but she was very nervous the first day. It seems like all the churches are staggering their VBS's this summer. Is it wrong to go from church to church this summer just so the kiddos are out of my hair a couple of hours each day?

Joey is going to be 4 in 4 weeks The last few weeks has seemed ahrd for him. He started wanting to go to school too. I think I need to find a part time job of some sort and put him in pre-school a couple days a week at least. I wish pre-k was free for everyone.

We are going through a Tom and Jerry phase at my house. That is the cartoon of choice right now. I love the one where Tom sings 'Is you is or is you ain't my baby" .....do you remember that one? I have been singing that line over and over....Yes I know I am a freak I also think it is hilarious when Tom says in that real deep voice to the girl cat "I love you, you set my soul on fire" Scott has actually started saying that too. It cracks me up every time.....the kids laugh like little loons too. We are a whole family of freaks
